<Chapter 101>
#11. Love is a Hurricane (6)
At Melty’s question, Calix kept his mouth firmly shut. Unable to honestly say “Because I keep getting aroused,” Calix pondered how to explain it in a way that wouldn’t shock him.
“There’s a reason for all this. It’s not that I didn’t want to.”
“Then what is it?”
“Haah…”
Breathing a deep sigh, Calix covered his face with his hands. If embarrassment could destroy a continent, he would have razed it to the ground about a hundred times. As Calix’s silence lengthened, Melty’s eyes wavered. Glancing at his unsteadily trembling eyes, Calix slowly opened his mouth.
“Sigh… You know, it’s human nature. When you don’t see someone, you miss them; when you’re with them, you want to touch them; and when you’re touching them, you want to pounce on them.”
Melty felt deflated at Calix’s intensely serious explanation that turned out to be so trivial. He had been prepared to never forgive Calix if he had actually grown tired of him, but seeing the sincerity in those golden eyes meeting his, he responded as if it were no big deal.
“Then you should just pounce.”
“Yes, that’s why… What?”
Calix, who had been nodding in agreement with Melty’s matter-of-fact response, stopped mid-motion. His eyes widened in surprise, uncharacteristically flustered. Looking at those wavering golden eyes that fully reflected his image, Melty silently reached out his hand.
Like a long-practiced habit, Calix grabbed his hand, and Melty moved forward without hesitation. Just as when they had entered the room, he led Calix to the front of the bed. Realizing their destination, Calix froze.
“Y-you, what did you just say?”
Seeing him ask about what he’d just heard only after reaching the bed, Melty jutted out his lips and replied.
“I said, shouldn’t you just pounce?”
“H-how can you say something like that so easily?!”
Melty pulled on Calix’s hand, easily toppling him onto the bed, then clapped his hands together and dusted them off like someone who had just moved luggage.
“You’re the one who mentioned pouncing first, Calix-ssi.”
“That was just an explanation!”
“So, do you dislike doing it with me?”
Under Melty’s intense gaze, his face scrunched up unattractively, Calix swallowed the habitual response that almost escaped his throat.
“No, it’s not that I dislike it… You… Ha, no, why are you talking about such things so casually…”
With a groan, Calix covered his face with his hands. It felt like perfectly seasoned meat proudly shouting “Eat me!” The sight of Calix’s reddened ears made Melty stare blankly, his lips still slightly jutting forward in dissatisfaction.
“Don’t you remember why I didn’t start dating you before?”
“…What was it?”
At Calix’s questioning, Melty gave a straightforward answer while giving him a reproachful look.
“It was because I wasn’t confident about becoming reckless, right? Now we’re not ‘temporary’ but real lovers, and I’m fully prepared.”
At Melty’s words, Calix barely managed to recall the memory he had momentarily forgotten. That day, they were on their way from the Padrian main mansion to the herb fields. When he had tried to persuade Melty to drop the ‘temporary’ label and just be his lover, Melty had fearlessly looked at his center that was prominently making its presence known and had definitely said that.
– Huh, really. You’re just temporarily dating, and you’re already thinking about going all the way?
– How could I not consider that? They say it’s the most important thing in dating.
The image of Melty staring at him as he let out an incredulous laugh was still vivid in his memory. While Calix was recalling this, Melty climbed onto the bed on his knees and promptly stripped off the clothes he was wearing. He didn’t forget to shake his feet over the edge of the bed to drop the pants that had become like a shed skin.
Lost in thought, Calix only came to his senses when Melty, in just his underwear, climbed on top of him.
“…Where did your clothes go?”
“Below the bed.”
“Why are you so bold?”
Calix’s voice rose in the situation of successive shock and embarrassment. Melty, who was unbuttoning Calix’s buttons, frowned.
“What’s there not to be bold about? Am I suggesting we do something bad?”
“Well, well. If it’s not something bad, then what is it?”
Calix asked, looking at his own top that was half undone in the moment he had been distracted. Melty made a dissatisfied face at his question and moved his hands to tap Calix’s exposed abdomen.
“Why would this be bad? I’m your lover, Calix-ssi.”
“…That’s true.”
Calix let out a small laugh at the sight of him, usually a coward but occasionally becoming brave. Slowly moving his hands, Calix cupped Melty’s buttocks that were firmly planted on top of him.
As if it belonged there, Melty’s plump buttocks fit perfectly in his hands. With a leisurely expression, Calix moved his thumb to rub the short, chubby tail near Melty’s tailbone. Each time his finger rubbed the tail, Melty’s buttocks twitched. While his body kept moving up and down, Melty struggled to undress Calix and moved his hand back to hit Calix’s hand.
“Stay still for a bit.”
“My goodness… You seduce me and then tell me to stay still.”
Though grumbling in dissatisfaction, Calix relaxed his body as Melty wished. Wiggling earnestly as he focused on unbuttoning Calix’s top, Melty’s brow furrowed. Besides being stiff, there were too many buttons.
Glancing at Calix, whose eyes seemed to say “Do as you wish,” Melty grabbed Calix’s clothes, which still had buttons left, and forcefully pulled them apart. Contrary to his expectation that the stiff buttons would pop off, the clothes merely stretched tautly to the sides.
“Pft. Ahaha.”
Understanding the situation by looking at Melty’s arms spread wide to the sides, Calix burst into laughter. Melty, his face flushed with embarrassment, sulked and playfully slapped Calix’s abdomen.
“Stop laughing. If you keep doing that, I’m going to get off.”
At his sulky declaration, Calix raised his upper body while firmly supporting Melty’s buttocks. Then, finding Melty’s lips on the lowered face, he quickly left a mark.
“I laughed because you were impressively forceful. I wasn’t mocking you, are you angry?”
“It feels like you are.”
Ignoring Melty’s sulky muttering, Calix easily removed the few remaining clothes. Stretching his arms to pull Melty into his embrace, he caressed Melty’s body, which had grown cold from being undressed for a while.
“Look how cold you’ve gotten. Aren’t you cold?”
Calix shifted his body while holding Melty in his arms, pulling the blanket over both of them. Blinking at the situation of being wrapped in a blanket while embracing Calix, Melty shook his head and extended his hands to wrap around Calix’s waist. The rough texture of cloth touched his fingertips.
“…Are you still in pain?”
Melty’s gaze sank heavily, knowing what wound this cloth was covering. Calix, who found it cute how Melty was now worried after roughly throwing him on the bed, smiled and rubbed his lips against Melty’s nose bridge.
“It doesn’t hurt. It’s fine, so don’t frown. You become less cute.”
Calix whispered in an affectionate tone and rested his cheek on top of Melty’s head. The fluffy ears moving like cotton captured his sight. Opening his mouth to gently bite the tip of the ear without hurting it, a strange shriek of “Hwak!” came from within his embrace.
Chuckling softly, Calix kneaded Melty’s body that fit snugly in his arms. His soft flesh seemed just right for a single bite if he were to eat him up.
“…Why are you touching someone else’s flesh like you’re kneading dough?”
“Because you’re too small.”
Calix muttered, omitting the phrase “to take me” that should have been at the front. Among the countless reasons he had tried not to touch him recklessly, this was certainly one of them.
“I’m not small! Other beast-people are just too big! If you come to my home, I…”
Though he wanted to claim that he wasn’t that short at home, Melty was actually the shortest in his family. Swallowing the protest he was about to make, Melty continued.
“I’m not that short!”
“Hmm? Really? So you’re the smallest at home too?”
Calix burst into laughter at his obvious excuse. Dissatisfied with his secret being discovered so quickly, Melty chose to burrow into Calix’s embrace rather than push him away.
“But you said you like it.”
“Yes. I love it.”
Melty, who had slightly turned his head to look at Calix’s face, smiled broadly. Calix’s heart pounded at the voice whispering “Me too” in a hushed tone. Laughing and saying he might stop breathing if he found him adorable two more times, Calix carefully asked.
“By the way, did you know how to do it when you pounced on me?”
At Calix’s question full of doubt, Melty answered with a shrug.
“Of course. You put your ‘thing’ into my ‘there’, right?”
He was right. It was correct, but whether due to his casual tone or something else, Calix narrowed his eyes with a dubious feeling. Inhaling Melty’s cozy scent deeply through his nose, he rubbed his lips on Melty’s head. Looking at the brave Melty, who seemed unaware of his anxious feelings about hurting him, Calix asked.
“Do you really know properly?”
“Yes! Your ‘thing’.”
After answering with a vigorous nod, Melty lowered his head. As soon as a small space formed between their tightly pressed bodies, Melty poked ‘it’ directly with his finger. Calix hurriedly grabbed his hand to stop his bold, even reckless action.
“…Ha. Where on earth did you learn such mischievous behavior?”
“I saw it in a book.”
“What book?”
While he welcomed Melty being so adorably forward, he had no intention of letting a pornographic book slide. Determined to find and burn that book that had corrupted an innocent hamster, Calix waited as Melty hesitated before whispering the title in his ear.
“‘Everything About My Lover, From Dating to Nighttime Activities’.”
“Pfft. You insisted you hadn’t seen it, but you studied it thoroughly.”
Barely suppressing his laughter as he recalled the pink book cover, Calix rubbed his lips against Melty’s cheek. Finally remembering that he had insisted he hadn’t seen that book, Melty mumbled quietly.
“…I didn’t study it thoroughly, I just looked at it a little bit.”
“You know I’m being very lenient with you, right?”
“…You? I’m the one being lenient with you.”
Calix let out a chuckle at Melty’s grumbling, who looked as if he had been wronged. Looking at his brazen lover, Calix rubbed his nose against Melty’s cheek and whispered.
“It’s okay. You don’t have to know. Well, you can learn from now on. I won’t make you cry too much.”
After finishing his words, Calix kissed Melty’s eye with a smacking sound. Since he claimed to know everything, there seemed to be no need to take things slowly. Although it was still bright outside, there was no need to worry about that. Their night was just beginning.
