The Emperor’s Favor

Sansan enters the palace to congratulate his younger sister, a concubine, on her pregnancy, and unluckily catches the Emperor's eye.
"A face that cannot live an ordinary life anywhere. What is your name?"
"S-Sansan."
"Unless I order otherwise, do not hide your face from me."
On a fresh spring day, the Emperor's heart is stolen by Sansan standing beneath the pear blossom tree.
When the Emperor learns that Sansan, who is slightly lacking compared to others, was born a eunuch, he personally confirms Sansan's pale lower body right then and there.
"Since I have laid eyes on it once, from now on you must not show your lower body to anyone else. Do you understand?"
Every night Sansan receives the Emperor's favor, but since entering the palace, each day feels like being dead even while alive.
Then, when death finally approaches before his eyes, he is no longer afraid of the Emperor.
"Your Majesty, why did you do this to me?... I really, really hate you."
With those words he would regret even in death if left unsaid, Sansan finally loses consciousness, and the Emperor, unable to accept Sansan's death, forcibly turns back time...

Good, the emperor finally learned some lessons and knows he’s going to have to work really hard to make Sansa happy. I can’t believe Yun is actually dead. I was expecting him to return. I think I’m ok with Sansan not recovering his 2nd life’s memory. The emperor doesn’t deserve that Sansan, especially after putting that brainwashed/groomed Sansan through pain mental and physical pain as well. I think if he would have just changed into a kinder, compassionate, loving guy like he is in this final chapter; and stopped with the vindictive mind fuck and violent fuck sessions as soon as he had his 2nd chance/do-over, Sansan would have had a normal less risky pregnancy, he wouldn’t have run away, he wouldn’t have gone into labor prematurely, he wouldn’t have almost died giving birth, and maybe both Sansan’s lives’ memories would have come back. He may have even forgiven him a lot sooner. Especially if the emperor apologized right after Sansan’s both life memories merged.
But the emperor brought all it on himself so it makes sense that things ended this way. Overall, some very heart wrenching moments and some lovable ones, I don’t regret reading it. I liked it.
