“I don’t know which to answer first. Let’s get off.”
Pushing Ilkyung’s back, Daehoon got off the elevator together. Ilkyung stuck close to his side like a small puppy and kept talking.
“This is all because of you, Director.”
“How is that my fault?”
At that question, Ilkyung puffed out his lips. He couldn’t answer. It was partly because there was a lot of work so he went home late and his stamina kept draining, but more than that, Ilkyung had something really absurd happen yesterday. He really thought he’d gone crazy.
Ha Daehoon appeared in his dream. And when he woke up, his underwear was wet. Fuck, how shitty.
“Are you sick somewhere?”
At Daehoon’s words, Ilkyung shook his head. He wasn’t sick, but rather in this state from tossing and turning.
“You look like someone who couldn’t even get gruel to eat.”
The moment Director Ha clicked his tongue with a tsk, Woo Ilkyung exploded.
“I’m saying this is all because of you, Director.”
Daehoon made a face wondering why this crazy dog was being like this, then quickly wiped his expression.
“Okay, okay. Let’s say that’s true, you said you were going to the cafe.”
“I said I’m not sick anywhere.”
“I got it, so stop yelling. People will be startled and come running. And I’m saying this out of caution, but Assistant Manager Woo seems a bit dense.”
“What am I? Where else is there someone as quick-witted as me!”
Daehoon shook his head. He wasn’t unaware that the Field Support Team was working overtime continuously because they couldn’t find one Esper. But Woo Ilkyung, as if protesting about that, was throwing a fit as if saying ‘I got you’ as soon as he met Daehoon. Whether he did or not, Daehoon just said what he had to say.
“What makes Assistant Manager Woo quick-witted? Last time you didn’t even know you caught a cold and came to the movie theater and ended up collapsing and sleeping at my house…”
Ilkyung raised his heels, reached out his hand, and covered Director Ha’s mouth.
“Ah, really crazy. Director, why are you doing this? This is the Center.”
Ilkyung covered Daehoon’s mouth and looked around quickly. Fortunately, there were no people in the 1st floor lobby. Daehoon frowned and removed Ilkyung’s hand that was like a puppy’s paw. The pale palm was small and cute like a hand that had never suffered.
“I’m talking after checking no one’s around.”
“Still, what if someone hears!”
“So what? They’ll think we’re dating.”
“You must be crazy. You know we have less than a week left, right? No extension.”
Daehoon smirked. What are you saying, you newborn puppy?
“Even with only a few days left, do well as a lover.”
“What are you talking about? Do well at what?”
In front of the cafe, Ilkyung’s eyes turned triangular. He was already hectic and dying, yet he kept picking fights.
“Let’s go eat dinner after work. Come to think of it, it’s been a while since we met.”
At those words, Ilkyung sent a look of disbelief. Today was Thursday, and on Monday they happened to commute together in the same car. But what do you mean it’s been a while since we met?
“If we couldn’t date properly for four days, that’s a long time.”
Ha Daehoon said as if knowing what Ilkyung wanted to ask. Ilkyung tilted his head and said.
“Director, when you actually date, do you get all obsessive like this? Calling every single day and definitely meeting on weekends?”
“I guess Assistant Manager Woo doesn’t do that?”
“I don’t really like being obsessive like that. I want to meet coolly without being obsessive while respecting each other’s private lives.”
Daehoon nodded. It didn’t mean he’d take note of it, but rather meant ‘do as you please.’ This was like a meaningless reaction.
“So what are you going to do about tonight?”
Ilkyung nodded.
“Since it might be the last time anyway, fine. Where should I go after work?”
“I’ll come pick you up.”
“What about my car?”
“Can’t I come pick you up tomorrow morning too?”
At Daehoon’s words, Ilkyung’s eyes widened. Daehoon smirked and turned around cleanly, heading toward the parking lot. Ilkyung tightly gripped his card and watched that back before saying sullenly.
“Ah, what the. If he knows I’m going to the cafe, he should at least pay for our team’s coffee. How can a person be so cold?”
Ilkyung carelessly spat out words that would make Ha Daehoon feel wronged if he’d heard them.
* * *
By quitting time, he’d become a complete zombie. With fatigue bears on both shoulders, Ilkyung trudged across the lobby. Fortunately, there was no overtime tonight. Team Leader Park said if they worked overtime until today, the Field Support Team would become anti-government forces first and attack the Center, so they should go home early. Ilkyung also wanted to just go home and sleep, but this damn contract relationship!
Ilkyung ground his teeth, vowing he absolutely wouldn’t let that shaman off. That quack bastard. I’ll go sprinkle salt on you!
It was already June, and even though half the year had passed, he couldn’t tell where this great fortune was. Exactly! What? Even looking at it objectively, this year’s fortune was completely ruined, but what great fortune, that frozen bastard! Ilkyung walked through the lobby grinding his teeth hard.
“Just wait till the contract ends. It’ll be over right away.”
The more time Ilkyung spent with Director Ha, the stranger he seemed to become. His dick kept getting hard, eventually jerking off while calling Director Ha’s name, calming down his erect member in the sacred company bathroom, and now of all things, a wet dream! How old was he now!
If asked to describe his feelings when he woke up in the morning and discovered his sticky underwear—how could he describe that! Ilkyung woke up and screamed silently. He didn’t know how much he cursed Director Ha inside while locked alone in the bathroom washing his underwear in the sink.
Why was he touching his dick in his dream! It was really absurd beyond words. But what was even funnier was himself surrendering his body. You pervert! When it wasn’t even enough to throw a fit asking why he was touching him, in the dream he completely surrendered his entire body to Director Ha and moaned. Even though it was a dream, thinking about it again made Ilkyung shudder.
“Never! I’ll never let it be taken!”
Ilkyung stood in the middle of the lobby and clenched his fist tightly. Anyone who heard would ask what he wouldn’t let be taken, but fortunately no one seemed to have heard.
Ilkyung headed to the parking lot with heavy feet. Director Ha was already there in the parking lot. Director Ha naturally opened the passenger door and let Ilkyung in.
“You’re no different from a zombie.”
“Right? Don’t I look like a zombie right now?”
“Why are you asking when you know?”
Daehoon tossed out his words while stretching his long arm.
“Why, why are you doing this?”
Ilkyung looked at Daehoon who suddenly came close in front of him with startled eyes and crossed both arms to cover his chest.
“I’ve told you repeatedly. Just because I’m gay doesn’t mean I’ll eat anyone. And I’m bi. Won’t you wear your seatbelt?”
“Ah, seatbelt.”
Ilkyung’s white face flushed red. Right now, Ilkyung was extremely sensitive. His body and mind were already in shambles, and if Director Ha even touched him here, that thing that didn’t listen to its owner would cause trouble again.
The moment he got in the car, the scent of Director Ha’s perfume mixed with his body odor vibrated, making him unconsciously tense up. He was so tense that his lower abdomen ached coolly. Even sitting in his seat, Ilkyung crossed his legs to try to suppress that thing trying to move on its own.
Whether Ilkyung was putting on a show by himself or not, Daehoon just fastened Ilkyung’s seatbelt with a face like a passing stray dog barking.
“Is there anything you want to eat?”
“Anything. Before that, I’m so sleepy.”
“Then sleep a bit. Sleep on the way to the restaurant.”
Ilkyung shook his head no, but honestly wanted to go home. But thinking this might be the last time, he just wanted to accommodate Director Ha Daehoon completely today. His mood was so fickle it was like boiling water—something you’d never understand.
“Let’s eat health food. Earlier there was a panda, but now there’s a zombie sitting next to me and I’m scared to death.”
Ilkyung pouted and made a sullen face. But Daehoon didn’t care at all. How indifferent. He hoped that indifference would continue even after the contract ended.
“But what were you doing in the lobby, Assistant Manager Woo?”
Ilkyung’s eyes were about to close when they snapped open at Director Ha’s question.
“Ah, I was about to fall asleep and you woke me up? I’m sorry. I’ll sleep again.”
