I laid Eun Haejin down on the blanket and even placed a pillow under his head. Eun Haejin obediently followed my movements and lay down. I playfully tapped Eun Haejin’s nose and said:

“Haejin… You can’t have this as a drinking habit.”
Leaving Eun Haejin who didn’t answer, I pulled my lips away. Eun Haejin moved his mouth as if trying to say something, but I just forcibly closed Eun Haejin’s eyes.
“Sleep now.”
Eun Haejin tapped my hand as if to resist, but when I resolutely kept his eyes closed, I soon felt the strength draining from his body. After Eun Haejin fell completely asleep, I quietly put on pajamas and turned off the lights. Even while turning off the lights, a hollow laugh escaped.

Because Eun Haejin had pulled a kissing move as a drinking habit, a very old memory came back. Of course, I’d never dated a man or thought of one as a romantic interest, but I had kissed a man once. I gave up the pillow to Eun Haejin and lay down on the bare floor, then closed my eyes. Maybe because I’d used up so much energy earlier, falling asleep was quick.

I heard the sound of water, and shortly after, Eun Haejin came out of the bathroom and sat down at the table. He stared quietly at the delivery containers before speaking in a confused voice.
“Yesterday… did we…?”
“Hm?”
“Sorry…”
“For what?”
I asked back since I didn’t know how much Eun Haejin remembered. His confused expression was kind of funny. I decided to be generous and pretend not to know.
“Nothing happened yesterday, so just eat.”
