# Chapter 43
About 90% of the reason I was so nervous was because I was doing a commercial shoot, and at some point, a camera had been installed in the car.
Noona only informed me of this fact right before getting into the car.
She told me that they would start filming now, so if I still didn’t want to reveal that I was her brother, I should be careful with my words.
From that moment, I behaved very properly, but I realized that my anxiousness about the filming would appear to others as nervousness about meeting the members again.
‘That’s right. Yes. They planned this. These people are really cunning, aren’t they?’
I was impressed in a way.
If they suddenly shoved a camera in my face and demanded acting skills, I couldn’t suddenly showcase innate acting talent.
So instead of asking for such impossible acting skills from me, they were trying to achieve the same effect by creating a similar situation.
When we arrived at the filming location, I discovered the members looking impeccably styled.
The members were already filming and didn’t yet know about the changed storyboard.
I sighed quietly after hearing that from Noona.
I was nervously biting my lips, worried about whether I could act properly, but belatedly realized that to others, this might look like calculated high-level acting.
A staff member approached from the side.
He was an employee of the advertising agency, and he explained the storyboard to me again and told me how the filming would proceed.
He seemed to be treating me especially well, knowing that I had been accompanying Noona to important events.
Many people there treated me that way.
Noona respected my decision not to reveal my identity yet.
But she handled things that way because she didn’t want to see me being disrespected.
I waited for my turn while watching the members’ filming scenes next to Noona.
The guys showed a completely different side of themselves, making me wonder if they were the same kids I knew.
They exuded the high confidence unique to people who know they’re handsome and cool.
Yet they were also insanely lovable and charming.
It seemed like no one would dare look away from them when they were in front.
Come to think of it, each of them had their own charm and radiated a unique atmosphere without overlapping with each other.
‘That’s incredible.’
Thinking about how hard they must have worked to achieve this made me smile automatically.
The sound of shutters continued rapidly, and the heat from the lights made them sweat, but the members showed no signs of struggling.
Even when their recently changed clothes stuck to them with sweat, they maintained their professional expressions.
The photographer seemed very satisfied and requested more, and the members adjusted their poses accordingly each time.
“Shall we take a break? You’ve all worked so hard that I lost track of time.”
Only then were the members finally released, and Lee Dagyeong was the first to spot me.
“Hyung! When did you arrive?”
At that sound, everyone looked at me at once, and bright smiles instantly appeared on the members’ faces.
“When did you get here? You should have said something.”
As Seo Irun approached and said this, he noticed Noona standing beside me and bowed politely with a surprised smile.
The other members did the same.
They seemed to feel much more friendliness than intimidation toward this major business figure.
“As expected of Crop Five! Even watching from the side for a moment, I couldn’t take my eyes off you. This advertisement is going to be a huge hit. Just keep doing what you’re doing. I won’t ask for more.”
At Noona’s words, the members approached me with wide smiles.
If at first they seemed like models trying to impress the owner, it didn’t take long for their true intentions to show.
They seemed to think that since they were a group, someone else could handle interacting with Noona, so it was fine for them to hang out with me.
“Hyung, why are you so dressed up? Is Crop Six finally debuting today?”
The members and even people around them burst into laughter at Cha Yeonwoo’s words.
“We’ve been saying all along that visually, Hyung has been our group’s visual center.”
When even Seo Irun said that, people seemed to recall that incident.
“‘Crop Five’ was really hot back then. I was a devoted viewer of ‘Crop Five,’ but I never imagined the show would do so well. I was amazed to see how it persevered on the strength of its content alone and ended up changing trends.”
Before I knew it, even the photographer and director had naturally joined the conversation.
“But really, why are you so dressed up? It looks like you even did your hair and makeup?”
Han Sijin asked again as if he suspected something was being hidden, and Noona, seeming to think it was finally time for her to step in, spoke up.
“The storyboard has changed.”
“What? So suddenly? We may have acting skills, but to change the storyboard this suddenly…”
When Jeong Chan complained, Noona smiled and handed out the storyboard herself.
The staff members at the site looked surprised.
They seemed shocked to see Noona taking care of this personally.
The members’ faces lit up all at once as they looked at the storyboard.
“Woooow!! Are we going on a group trip? No, a workshop? Whatever it is, we’re going with Hyung, right? It says one-day manager. Wooow! This is amazing. My goodness, who created this storyboard? If you let me know where they are, I’d like to bow to them.”
When Lee Dagyeong shouted loudly, Cha Yeonwoo also burst into laughter and clenched his fists, shouting, “Yes! Yes!”
“Wow, Hyung. When did you find out? If I had known it changed like this… Ah, but even if I had known, there wouldn’t have been much to do, right? I’m already looking my best today, so I’ll just continue like this.”
Everyone seemed to accept Seo Irun’s shameless words.
“When are we doing this? Are we starting right away?”
When Jeong Chan asked the director, the director nodded.
“We’ll change locations, but we’ll continue filming during the journey. We want to capture a natural and lively atmosphere.”
“Ah! It would be nice if you could add those subtitle-like things too. To make it feel completely like early ‘Crop Five.’ The editing was really good back then. Though when I say ‘early,’ it wasn’t that long ago.”
When Jeong Chan spoke thoughtfully, the staff members nodded at each other as if they thought it was a good idea.
Our kids are overflowing with ideas.
I nodded with a proud face.
“Then from now on, you’ll be together. Kang Seomin-ssi is now Crop Five’s manager. How Kang Seomin-ssi became Crop Five’s one-day manager today will be explained with simple subtitles, so you can skip that explanation and just perform the role of manager.”
“Yes, I understand.”
I said that, but I thought it wouldn’t be easy.
However, as I went along surrounded by the members, responding to their chatter, I soon forgot that it was filming and was able to act comfortably.
I had been asked to perform everything impromptu without a script from the beginning, and my concerns about whether that would work well quickly disappeared.
The members treated me just as they would naturally, and I acted naturally with them.
“Dagyeong, did you get skincare treatment? Your condition was terribly serious before, but now it’s okay?”
When I looked closely at Lee Dagyeong’s face and spoke, he smiled confidently.
“I didn’t get treatment; it improved through natural regeneration ability. I’m young, you know.”
“Young? Who? You? You’re only 1 year younger than the others, but you brag about it at times like this. You little punk. You’ll get frozen shoulder syndrome in no time. Do you know how sad it is when you can’t even scratch your own back when it itches?”
“How do you know that, Hyung? Do you have frozen shoulder syndrome?”
“These days, I hear even people in their 20s get it.”
Conversations without foundation or structure poured out.
Members who would normally slip away complaining about the noise tried hard to join in, eager to say at least one more word.
“Hey, Cha Yeonwoo. Come out for a bit. Why are you the only one walking next to Hyung?”
Seo Irun even said that because he wanted to walk beside me, and Cha Yeonwoo quickly gave up his spot as if realizing his offense.
People who saw this couldn’t hold back their laughter, finding it amusing that the great Crop Five were risking their lives to say even one more word beside me.
“But Hyung, what are you planning to do? You’ve never done filming like this before, right? Do you think you can do it?”
Han Sijin suddenly delivered a heavy strike with a fact-bombing, and the other members nodded as if they were genuinely concerned about that.
“That’s why I’m trying not to talk much. My eyes are honest, you know. I’ll just use my face without speaking.”
“Oh, that’s good. That should work.”
When Jeong Chan clapped, others agreed as well.
“Will we do something like recreation activities too? Hyung, you’re really bad at games.”
Sometimes a comment that came out would end without getting any response, but even that was all fun.
I realized that the movements of the director and staff were becoming more and more busy, and I also noticed that the number of cameras had increased.
