# Chapter 78
As the hot sensation rapidly subsided and a cool feeling enveloped my body, my neck instinctively hunched. My body trembled. I rubbed my arms to drive away the chill and stretched out my hunched upper body.
Moon Seoheon was still cupping my cheeks with both hands, staring at me. His eyes were endlessly serene.
For some strange reason, an uncomfortable feeling gradually rose within me, making the corners of my mouth tremble, but I pretended not to mind and grabbed his hands. When I applied pressure to remove them, he lowered them compliantly.
Seeing him straighten his slightly tilted head, I realized it must have been an action to check my condition. Even so, I thought his attitude toward a patient was quite embarrassingly intimate.
“…I told him to participate in the relay at the sports festival.”
Rubbing my chest to dispel the inexplicably ticklish feeling, I recalled what Moon Seoheon had asked about. My answer came out hesitantly as I thought about how to respond.
I didn’t know what had happened while I was unconscious, but it was certain that he had encountered Yoo Wono. Since I saw him walking with the Four before I lost consciousness, they were bound to meet unless someone deliberately avoided it.
There was no reason for Yoo Wono to avoid Moon Seoheon, and likewise, Moon Seoheon wasn’t the type to run away. He might have even seen me being caught by Yoo Wono during that time.
I glanced at my right wrist. The bandage that Yoo Wono had unwrapped was properly wrapped again, just like it had been in the morning. Seeing the neatly tied knot, it seemed Moon Seoheon had wrapped it again.
“Relay? You mean the final event, the relay race?”
“…No. The morning race where representatives from each grade compete.”
Moon Seoheon raised one eyebrow. His surprised reaction suggested he hadn’t heard anything from Yoo Wono. Of course, Yoo Wono didn’t seem like the type to chatter on about details. If Moon Seoheon had been curious about what happened between Yoo Wono and me, he could have asked, but apparently, he hadn’t.
I nodded inwardly, feeling like I understood. That guy Yoo Wono would have just abruptly pressured Moon Seoheon, saying let’s do this, let’s do that. Even if Moon Seoheon tried to act unbothered, it would have been very annoying. I shook my head, thinking proper conversation with him would have been impossible.
Even in the latter part of the animation, Moon Seoheon showed signs of disgust whenever he saw Yoo Wono, so he must still find him tiresome.
Moon Seoheon leaned back, having leaned forward to get closer to me. His body tilted slightly to one side as he crossed his legs, trying to sit comfortably in the chair.
I thought he would ask why I said that, but there were no further questions from him. I worried if Moon Seoheon might not participate in the relay because of what I had done.
Of course, it was his choice whether to participate in the event, but since it was something decided by recommendation, it didn’t seem like much would change. Still, I was about to ask if he had withdrawn his intention to participate after hearing Yoo Wono would be there, but I stopped myself.
It would be troublesome if my meddling caused him not to participate. If I had told Yoo Wono that Moon Seoheon would participate, and then Yoo Wono made a fuss about being lied to, I could be in big trouble.
The bed I was sitting on was higher than the auxiliary chair he was sitting in, so my line of sight was a bit above his. Moon Seoheon tilted his head slightly to meet my eyes.
With his head tilted and our eyes locked, Moon Seoheon’s eyes curved gently for a moment. His elegant eyes seemed to shine sharply, making me unwittingly swallow.
The way he slowly rolled his eyes seemed like he was trying to examine me more closely. Or maybe he was trying to dig into what I was thinking.
“Hmm, by the way, why are you here?”
I looked around casually and asked in a low voice.
I was in the infirmary. The school nurse was nowhere to be seen, so it seemed like only Moon Seoheon and I were there.
To check the time, I unconsciously turned my head toward the clock. I was surprised to see that the hour hand had passed 4, and my eyes widened.
“Is it past four o’clock now?”
As I asked in shock, Moon Seoheon crossed his arms and said:
“Yeah. Classes are all over. I came to check on you.”
He answered my question calmly. I was the one who was dumbfounded.
Even if I had collapsed, to sleep for more than three hours! While I felt a bit embarrassed about completely missing the afternoon classes, I was also relieved that my body felt much better after the deep sleep.
I touched my forehead to check for fever. There was a slight warmth, but it didn’t seem like a fever caused by illness. My mind was very clear and my body felt light. It was proof that I was perfectly fine.
“So what about the soccer club? Did you wait for me instead of doing activities… oh, today is Wednesday.”
I questioned why Moon Seoheon, who should have been playing soccer on the field by now, was in front of me, but then I remembered about club activities.
“What about your Social Club? Is it okay for you to be here now?”
It was the time when club activities would be in full swing. Although the Social Club was a friendship club created by the High Class, it was still a club that boasted tradition and authority. Plus, with that protagonist buff, it was something the main characters had set up, so he shouldn’t miss it.
Moon Seoheon, who caught the intention behind my question, shrugged slightly.
“They were showing a movie, but it was boring so I just left.”
“…I see.”
Even so, was it okay to just leave as he pleased? I decided not to worry about it and answered half-heartedly, then lowered my legs from the bed to get up. Moon Seoheon also stood up as I put my feet on the floor and rose. After glancing at him briefly, I felt my body. The uniform shirt was sticking to my skin, suggesting I had sweated more than expected.
Feeling uncomfortable, I wanted to take a shower, but since I couldn’t go home right away, I just flapped my clothes a bit.
“I think I should go to the classroom first, what are you going to do?”
As I was wondering if I should collect my things and show my face to the homeroom teacher, Moon Seoheon bent down. There were bags under the bed that I hadn’t noticed. Moon Seoheon picked up two bags. They were his bag and mine.
“You brought my things too?”
“Yeah.”
“Ah, thank you. …So, can I go home now?”
As I spoke while scratching my head, Moon Seoheon looked back. There was no one there, but after just turning around, he looked at me again and stepped back slightly.
“If you want to leave early, do that. If you want to attend the remaining classes, go.”
Moon Seoheon spoke casually, as if it were a simple matter. With that, I also shook off my embarrassment and grabbed my bag.
Since I had already missed all the afternoon classes, I was strongly leaning toward the idea of just going home. At that moment, I realized that I hadn’t been able to properly participate in club activities since coming here, but I wondered what I could do even if I went back.
Is Moon Seoheon planning to go home with me? I briefly considered whether I should let him do as he pleased, or say something about his attitude of trying to skip with me when the opportunity arose. Then I kept my mouth shut, thinking it wasn’t right to nag when I was planning to leave arbitrarily myself.
As I moved, I casually checked my phone and saw that messages had arrived from various people.
After causing a commotion in front of so many students during lunch and then collapsing, I wondered if there was anyone who didn’t know about it. As expected, messages of concern appeared in the preview on my screen. The fact that they were from club members made me stop in my tracks.
[Taeho, I heard you collapsed during lunch. You seem to be getting hurt often lately, which worries me. Let me know if you’re okay when you see this.]
[Yoon Taeho, I heard you collapsed? If you wake up in the middle, stop by the club room.]
[Senior Taeho, are you okay? You really can’t miss completely today…]
I checked the time each message was sent after reading the individual messages one by one.
“They weren’t sent that long ago.”
The times the messages were sent were not that far apart. It seemed they had each sent them during club hours after hearing that I hadn’t shown up.
After a moment’s hesitation, I scanned Lee Jinyoung’s message asking me to contact her and called. The last phrase added by Kim Yuna also bothered me.
But even though it wasn’t break time, it was still during class time even if it was club hours, so I thought she wouldn’t answer. However, the call connected immediately after the signal went through.
“Taeho, are you feeling better?”
“Ah, yes. I just woke up.”
Moon Seoheon, who had been leading the way out of the infirmary, turned around when he heard me talking on the phone. Noticing that I was on a call with someone, he soon leaned against the wall. I gestured for him to wait a moment and focused on the voice coming through the phone.
“I’m glad you’re okay. I was worried after hearing from Junwoo.”
Come to think of it, I hadn’t even thanked Kim Junwoo. He must have been the one who brought me to the infirmary. Thinking he must be in the club room now, I unconsciously asked:
“Is Kim Junwoo there too? Oh, is it okay to talk now?”
“Yeah. It’s not like we’re busy, and Junwoo is right here. So, are you on your way to the club room now?”
“Ah, about that…”
Feeling suddenly awkward, I rolled my eyes. Moon Seoheon, who was staring at me, raised his eyebrow as if asking what was happening. Unable to answer him, I swallowed a sigh and scratched my head in a troubled manner before speaking in a resigned tone.
“Yes. Is there something going on?”
Seeing as she asked me to contact her, it seemed like there was something urgent to discuss. Wondering if there was something important, I canceled my plans to go home.
“Ah, the competition dates for the expo have been announced. Deorwon Foods is also sponsoring this time, so there will likely be many applicants. I wanted to ask if you were planning to apply too.”
