# Chapter 21
With gate occurrences becoming more frequent and the situation growing chaotic, the appearance of an Esper with such talent made the base even more desperate.
Yeo Dowoon’s flames singed the ground at Yoon Minoh’s feet. Jumping up like a startled colt, Yoon Minoh burst into wild laughter.
Dowoon couldn’t understand why this guy’s laugh was so ridiculous—it was enough to make his blood boil. The irritating feeling that they’d been going in circles also added to his frustration.
Dowoon asked grumpily, “Where is the Captain and what is he doing?”
-No obligation to tell you. Just focus.
“I’m not some torch, just spitting fire endlessly.”
Wondering if they actually intended to catch anything at all,
Dowoon, who had been reluctantly following Kwon Jeonghoo’s direct command despite his obvious displeasure, sighed at the unexpected answer.
-Need to know how long you can hold out so I can use you effectively.
In other words…
“So you’re making a poor child perform tricks.”
-Delta operates on the principle of right person, right place.
The explanation meant this boring chase would continue until they figured out how to maximize Yoon Minoh’s usefulness.
Dowoon, who had been adjusting his flame intensity out of boredom, frowned deeply at Jeonghoo’s threatening tone in his head.
-Don’t slack off. Give it your all. He’s going to be your partner, isn’t he?
“The biggest slacker here isn’t me, it’s the Captain.”
Jeonghoo was probably sitting on a sofa, watching dozens of surveillance camera screens with an iced coffee beside him, running his mouth freely.
Though somewhat insulting, Jeonghoo didn’t scold Dowoon for his rebellious attitude after reading it.
-If you want to know what being a bastard feels like, go ahead and keep it up. I’m enjoying the provocation.
He merely delivered a light threat.
Remembering a time when he was pinned under Jeonghoo’s muscular body, forced to endure unwanted kisses, Dowoon changed his tone like a sly fox.
“Actually, I’m always grateful to you, Captain.”
Naturally, his attacks became even more merciless.
Using a flame-encircled chunk of ice as a target for his frustration, Dowoon hurled it at Yoon Minoh while shouting each word clearly.
“Sacrificing! For! Delta!”
-…Shut up, Dowoon.
“The! Lonely! Wolf! Kwon Jeonghoo!”
-Sigh… Can’t you shut your mouth on your own?
Anyone could tell it was mockery rather than encouragement.
As if expecting the scene to be captured on camera, Dowoon leaped high and wrapped a restraint around Yoon Minoh’s ankle, yanking hard.
CRASH! Yoon Minoh fell flat and was dragged along. He seemed to have hit his head hard on the ground and wasn’t moving.
Jeonghoo urgently shouted at this unauthorized action.
-Disobeying orders will result in disciplinary action, you idiot!
Flashing a grin toward where he thought cameras might be installed, Dowoon retorted sarcastically, “I should have some time for a cozy chat with my junior, shouldn’t I?”
He knew that if the base guys took Yoon Minoh away now, pair activity would be a certainty.
So he thought it better to discuss contract terms one-on-one with this bratty kid, even if it meant facing disciplinary action.
With Yoon Minoh restrained, Dowoon switched his target.
BOOM! Baek Seonwoo, hit squarely by an ice boulder, fell from the air like a ripe apple. The next target was Ko Ijae, who was looking around in confusion.
“I’m sorry, hyung.”
Whenever Dowoon apologized, it never led to anything good. Ko Ijae reported in a dazed voice as he stared at the massive ice chunk hurtling vertically toward his limbs.
“Captain, that bastard Yeo Dowoon…”
The other Espers were already trapped in barriers, complaining loudly to be let out. Jeonghoo’s mental connection was gradually fading.
Mental Espers naturally have a limited range when physical distance increases. So to stop Dowoon, Jeonghoo would have to come in person and use his abilities.
But in Ko Ijae’s personal opinion, even that probably wouldn’t be very effective.
“That guy is really a piece of trash.”
With those words, Ko Ijae immediately raised both arms in surrender. As if on cue, an ice screen rose up to protect him from the attack.
BANG, CRASH!
Ice collided violently with ice, spitting out fragments. Ko Ijae couldn’t understand Dowoon’s mindset—if he was going to trap him anyway, why throw ice chunks at him in the first place?
“Was he planning to tear me apart if I didn’t surrender…?”
Meanwhile, Dowoon had thoroughly restrained the unconscious Yoon Minoh and was leisurely escaping the base. It was almost pitiful to see Yoon Minoh being carried like cargo.
***
Yoon Minoh thought he was dreaming and giggled loosely.
He hadn’t had a wet dream since his first nocturnal emission in middle school, but for some reason, his body seemed to be giving him a surprise gift.
The sight of his marked target sitting on a hotel bed, shaking his wet hair, was unexpected. The atmosphere felt especially strange with him wearing only a bathrobe.
A droplet of water fell from his perfectly sculpted jawline and soaked into his defined collarbone.
“…Ah, this isn’t my usual taste.”
Yoon Minoh muttered regretfully as he realized his limbs were firmly held by something large and solid.
Aren’t dreams supposed to reflect the subconscious?
He could understand restraining someone else, but he never expected to be tied up himself. “Is this a dream?” he asked doubtfully. Now that he was becoming aware of reality, what he thought were handcuffs felt completely different.
“You slept well even while hanging there.”
After slapping his face and kicking his stomach without waking him, Dowoon had just left him attached to the ceiling.
Yoon Minoh looked down at his painfully cold limbs and pretended to be terrified.
“I-I’m scared… Why are you doing this to me…?”
“Change the contract terms.”
But Dowoon ignored Yoon Minoh’s voice, only saying what he had prepared to say.
“You even wrote it at the end. You said I was your resignation letter. Delete the pair clause and raise my salary. Or shorten the contract period.”
“…”
“I need to retire, so I don’t have time to clean up after you.”
The reason he added this unnecessary advice was out of a thin sense of senior responsibility. If he ended up with a thirty-year contract like Dowoon’s, he would be worked to the bone.
Blinking in confusion, Yoon Minoh had an “aha” moment and asked, “Hyung… are you the type who gets excited by dominating others?”
His wide, innocent-looking eyes twinkled like a calf’s. When the ice chains modeled after spider webs rattled as if about to break, Dowoon spoke with annoyance.
“No. I’m the type who gets excited beating bastards like you to death.”
“Haaah…!”
Although Dowoon had only fastened his arms and legs more tightly, Yoon Minoh let out a nauseating moan and twisted his waist. Blushing slightly, he whispered as if embarrassed.
“The feeling of being trampled is thrilling and unfamiliar.”
“…Fuck, shut up, it’s creepy.”
“Is this the taste of humiliation…? Ah, it’s sweet.”
Dowoon, unable to bear the moment his patience snapped in two, covered Yoon Minoh’s vulgar mouth with ice.
“Mmph…!”
If Kwon Jeonghoo was simply a pervert, the kid in front of him seemed like a psychopath who had lost his mind. Dowoon couldn’t even continue speaking in response to his inappropriate reactions.
Sticking out his bright red tongue, Yoon Minoh lasciviously licked the transparent ice rope and smiled with narrowed eyes.
“…Huh?”
When his tongue surface stuck firmly to the ice, he struggled to pull it free. A faint moan of “Ah…” reached Dowoon’s ears.
BANG! Taking advantage of Dowoon’s momentary lapse in concentration, Yoon Minoh successfully targeted centrifugal force, stood up while stepping on the shattered restraints, and boldly thrust his lower body forward.
“Congratulations, sunbae.”
That bastard is now…
“You’re going to taste my first time.”
What the fuck are you trying to appeal to me for?!
“Look forward to it. It’ll be sweet.”
Dowoon was caught in a dilemma.
Not only did he fail to recognize what this smooth-faced brat was secretly proposing, he also couldn’t readily understand why his own limbs were frozen as if paralyzed.
The young Esper approached while rubbing his neck, explaining triumphantly. His eyes beneath the platinum blonde hair were surprisingly clear and light-colored, unlike typical Koreans.
“It’s centrifugal force.”
That damn centrifugal force, it’s so tiresome.
