The Tear-Stained Wall 18

Chapter 2. Dawn

Seoho looked at the owner of the crying voice that had kept him awake during the past sleepless hours.

He didn’t know how he had passed through the wall, but his surroundings had completely changed. His room, which had been bright thanks to the slightly narrow but bright wallpaper and the sunlight illuminating the room, had become a completely different space.

Though it was dark and hard to see clearly, the ceiling was high and spacious, filled with antique and luxurious items at a glance.

‘No, this isn’t changed, but…’

The space Seoho was in had changed.

It was a bit frightening but at the same time fascinating. Just by reaching out his hand, his surroundings had changed in an instant.

The room was dark, but at the same time, it didn’t look too gloomy with the red lights gently filtering in. Seoho hesitantly looked around, then recalled how he had come to this place.

He turned his head toward where he’d been feeling a stinging gaze from earlier. Not beyond the wall, but not far away, in the same space, that man from before was there.

Surprisingly, unlike that crying voice that sounded woeful to the point of being eerie, and in contrast to this dark space, the man’s appearance gave off a very bright feeling.

He was a man for whom the word beautiful would be insufficient.

Golden hair that shone brilliantly as if melted from gold and curled between which bright blue eyes could be seen.

Tears that had pooled in those eyes overflowed and ran down his white cheeks. His gaze naturally went to the reddened eyes from crying too much and his flushed cheeks as if he had a fever.

Despite his eyes being full of tears, the man stubbornly stared at him intently without blinking even once.

Despite that obsessive gaze, was it because of the man’s beautiful appearance that Seoho didn’t feel particularly uncomfortable? Or was it because of the tears that were full of joy, unlike the previous crying?

‘He’s happy that I came here.’

At Seoho’s appearance, the man had completely shed his sadness and was genuinely delighted.

Then, breaking the long silence, the man opened his mouth.

“Finally…”

A very small sound that barely leaked out as if scraping his throat. Unable to hear the man’s voice well, Seoho hesitantly stepped forward.

The man clutched his throat as if it hurt and frowned, but still couldn’t take his eyes off him.

At the pain briefly reflected on that beautiful face, Seoho unknowingly asked.

“Um, are you alright?”

Then the man lowered his eyebrows and made a very pitiful face. He reached out his hand to Seoho.

It was the hand he had thought pretty earlier too. A large and somewhat rough-looking hand.

Following that hand up, there was a sturdy-looking forearm and broad shoulders. The thin white cloth the man wore didn’t perfectly cover its owner’s body.

A solid physique and beautiful face that could be felt even through the cloth.

Even when he saw him through the wall, he thought he was more than sufficiently beautiful to the point of overflowing, but this person actually moving in front of him looked quite unreal.

‘How can a person look like that?’

Regardless of gender, anyone who saw that man’s face would have no choice but to think he was beautiful.

So it wasn’t that strange that he, enchanted by that appearance, had been drawn here by this unidentified person.

‘Probably, right?’

Because humans are bound to feel attracted to beautiful things.

When Seoho slowly grasped his hand, a bright smile bloomed on his desolate face. Eye smiles and prettily curved lips.

As he was blankly admiring that appearance, the man pulled Seoho in and embraced him tightly.

It was a sudden hug. The face that had been dizzying his mind disappeared, and as he was held in the hot yet large embrace, he came to his senses.

‘Now is not the time to admire his face…’

As Seoho hesitated and tried to escape his embrace, the man let out a small laugh and whispered in Seoho’s ear.

“Caught you.”

Not the sweet voice one would imagine from that beautiful face, but a rough voice full of hunger sent chills through his entire body.

With his body frozen stiff, Seoho remained held in the man’s embrace for quite a while.

Rosetta looked down at the man who had fallen asleep in his arms.

The man, whose body had been stiffly rigid, soon let down his guard after some time passed and fell into a deep sleep.

‘Warm.’

Rosetta was fully aware that the man hadn’t been sleeping properly lately. Just as the man hadn’t slept, Rosetta hadn’t slept either.

However, the difference was that Rosetta was a person whose body had become absurdly strong while receiving God’s power, and the man was just an ordinary human.

“No, I can’t say he’s ordinary.”

He was definitely not an ordinary man. Because he was this beautiful and mysterious.

Rosetta carefully caressed the face of the man who had fallen asleep in his arms. As his fingertips touched the face, he could see the man’s eyes trembling.

Rosetta, who had paused for a moment, slowly began moving his hand once the man’s face became peaceful again.

‘Smooth and soft.’

Rosetta caressed the man’s cheekbones, tip of his nose, around his eyes, lips, chin, and neckline in order. Heat rose in his body and his mouth became parched at the texture that clung perfectly to his hand.

The man, completely unaware of what Rosetta was thinking, was sleeping with a gentle face.

“Is his sense of crisis a bit lacking?”

No matter how much he hadn’t been sleeping properly lately, this was a bit much.

Perhaps just as Rosetta had fallen in love at first sight of the man, the man had also instinctively recognized that Rosetta was his destined partner upon seeing him and relaxed. At that thought, a smile naturally flowed out.

“Mmm.”

Then the man let out a small moan and burrowed deeper into Rosetta’s embrace. Holding the man who was slightly curling up his body as if cold, Rosetta approached his bed.

Compared to Rosetta, the man was nothing but fragile, so it seemed better to let him sleep for a while.

He should have been considerate from the start, but after being faithful only to his own emotions for the past few days, he hadn’t thought of it.

‘No, I didn’t think about it.’

Because the desire to bring the man here quickly somehow had been too great. But now the man was beside him, so it would be okay to have a little leisure.

Rosetta, who smiled satisfactorily, sat next to the man who had lain on his bed, covered himself with a blanket full of his scent, and fallen comfortably asleep, murmuring.

“I wonder what his name is?”

He wanted to know his name.

Fortunately, unlike from beyond the mirror, at their first meeting, Rosetta could understand the man’s words.

The man also didn’t seem unable to understand his words either. So later, when the man woke up from sleep, he would be able to hear his name.

It seemed there had been some effect from crossing dimensions.

‘I should call Angel and ask.’

He liked that they could communicate, but he was worried whether it might strain the man’s body.

“Strain?”

Rosetta jumped up from his seat. Could it be that the man hadn’t fallen asleep but had fainted?

There might have been strain on his body from crossing dimensions. Rosetta quickly rang the bell.

‘How stupid!’

Excited by directly seeing the man, hearing his voice, and touching him with his hands, he hadn’t made such a simple prediction at all.

As Rosetta bit the inside of his mouth and examined the man’s complexion, the door opened quietly and Puti appeared.

“Your Majesty, did you call?”

“Come here! Where’s that mage from earlier?”

At Rosetta’s urgent tone, Puti jumped in surprise and entered the room. Behind such Puti, the mage who had been accompanying him lately hesitantly followed in.

The two getting closer and closer to the bed was very bothersome, but it couldn’t be helped. Now was the time to check the man’s condition.

“Your Majesty, may I come closer?”

When Rosetta nodded as if it was fine, Puti carefully approached and examined the man.

“This person…”

Rosetta cut off Puti’s words and asked.

“Does he seem sick?”

“Pardon?”

“He suddenly collapsed as if falling asleep. I don’t know if he fainted or fell asleep.”

Only then understanding Rosetta’s words, Puti called the mage standing behind him.

“Mage-nim?”

The mage’s eyes widened as he said.

“I’m not a doctor…”

The mage, who received Rosetta’s gaze head-on, stiffened his body, then said as if he had no choice.

“I’ll examine him once.”

The mage examined the body by touching various parts of the man’s body. Rosetta sharply glared at the mage’s hands touching the man. Even if it was for checking his condition, his hands were too light.

‘He can use magic even without hands.’

Rosetta, who was having thoughts that would horrify the mage or Puti if they heard, suppressed the urge by reminding himself several times that the most important thing right now was the man’s health.

After a moment, when the mage pulled his body back, Rosetta asked him.

“How is it?”

“He seems fine from the outside. There doesn’t seem to be any major problem with his body, but just in case, shall I use healing magic?”

After pondering for a moment, Rosetta shook his head. He was someone from another world. He was worried something big might happen if they did something for no reason. It seemed everything should be decided after meeting with the Saintess after all.

“No, we don’t know how it will work, so hold off for now.”

Then, with good timing, Puti bowed his head and said.

“I will send a letter to Angel-nim immediately.”

“Tell her to come right away.”

Puti answered briskly.

“Yes, I will inform her it’s an urgent matter.”

As Rosetta turned to examine the man’s condition, Puti didn’t leave the room immediately and called him.

“And Your Majesty.”

As Rosetta was about to use his power to send Puti flying outside, Puti spoke first.

“Wouldn’t it be good to treat your voice now?”

"You're destined to lose everything!" Words from a shaman that Seoho thought were nothing but nonsense. However, Seoho's life truly becomes completely different from before. Just as the shaman said he would lose family, friends, and even his home, he loses his parents and is left alone, and strange phenomena begin occurring even in the house his parents left him...? 'Is it really a ghost?' Even though he's clearly the only one in the house, when he falls asleep, he hears crying sounds, and later, eyes even appear on the wall. As the eyes and crying sounds become increasingly clear, Seoho grows exhausted... 'Come to meet me.' Who is the person crying so desperately in the world beyond the wall? [Preview] Seoho moved a little closer to the wall and asked. "Who are you?" Now that his mind was a bit more at ease, it seemed he had the luxury to do such absurd things. Seoho knew his current behavior was very strange, but he continued throwing questions at the eyes. "How long have you been here?" Knowing there would be no answer made the questions come out more easily. "Why are you staring at me?" If a ghost could affect reality to this degree, there must be something tremendous behind it. "What are you doing right now?" Rather than confronting it, he was simply asking what he was genuinely curious about. "Why do you cry every day? Why are you so sad?" It was fascinating that someone could cry without rest like that. Do ghosts not even sleep? "Once you take me away, will you stop being sad?" It was an absurd emotion, but at this point, he even felt a little sorry for the ghost that only ever cried. To the extent that if Seoho's departure from this world meant it would stop crying like that, it wouldn't be so bad. Of course, Seoho was aware that having such thoughts itself wasn't normal. Seoho smiled bitterly. "I don't understand why you keep crying like that." After crying this much, whether it's resentment or sadness, shouldn't it be time for it to fade? Seoho imagined the crying that echoed in his ears every night disappearing. What if the crying suddenly stopped being heard from tomorrow? Seoho hesitated and opened his mouth. "...Actually, I've gotten used to you now, so I think I'd feel a bit sad if you disappeared."
