Jaehee moved his head to the side. It was an instinctive movement.
And a few seconds later, from the “shik” sound he heard, Jaehee realized he had dodged its first attack.
When the entire world disappeared into darkness, Jaehee had fallen into a brief state of panic.

The firework soared up with a long scream.

He couldn’t tell. Actually, he didn’t want to know.
It too seemed surprised when its form was revealed by the fireworks. Though it had no face or anything to indicate its thoughts, it felt that way because it didn’t come any closer and the tentacles inside its mouth moved busily.
Jaehee quickly took out the next firework. Parts of the first fireworks still remained, making loud noises while circling around. But there was no reason to wait for it to finish.
Simultaneously pulling the string of the second firework, Jaehee threw it with all his might.
He aimed for where its mouth was.
The firework entered the continuously moving mouth of the creature. There was a dull “thud” sound.
Not long after, the sparks from the first fireworks stopped. Then darkness fell again. Jaehee now didn’t hesitate to open the next firework and throw it.
Pyooooong-.
With a cute sound, the fireworks show started again.
This time, it was accompanied by the monster’s dance.

An eerie howling sound, as if echoing from underground, reverberated throughout the subway.

Something suddenly popped out from inside the monster’s mouth. In an instant, it extended and approached right in front of Jaehee’s face. If Jaehee hadn’t been startled and quickly backed away, his ankle would have been caught by it.
This time, Jaehee grabbed two fireworks at once and aimed them at the monster’s mouth.
It was truly an exciting fireworks display.
