# Chapter 35
“You crazy bastard, come to the agency right now!”
Who on earth was that man? Who was he that he could cause such a ruckus over the phone out of nowhere, while Seo Hanryul, with his foul personality, couldn’t even open his mouth and just listened quietly?
I pressed my face against the window and carefully observed what was happening. Seo Hanryul was saying something to the other party with a dark expression. After continuing the conversation for a short time, he hung up and quickly got into the car as if something urgent had happened.
“We need to go to the agency right now.”
As soon as he got in the car, Seo Hanryul instructed me to go to the agency. Looking at his ashen complexion, something big must have happened.
“Got it.”
I was curious about things, but it seemed pointless to bring anything up now since I wouldn’t get an answer anyway, and the atmosphere would obviously get worse, so I didn’t open my mouth and immediately stepped on the accelerator.
“We’re here. Get out.”
“You wait here.”
Seo Hanryul left only those words and immediately got out, urgently entering the agency. His expression when he said those words was also very ominous.
Still, since he told me to wait here, would it be best to just stay put in this situation? But that man’s voice from earlier remained vividly in my ears. That voice wasn’t just simple shouting.
A voice full of malice, one that would beat a person to death.
That man told Seo Hanryul to come to the agency immediately. And Seo Hanryul went into the agency. He must be going to meet that man now. His voice kept replaying in my head, and I felt I should follow Seo Hanryul.
I immediately parked the car and followed him into the agency entrance. Just then, I could see his back as he got on the elevator. I hid my body so he couldn’t see me and carefully watched which floor he got off on.
9th floor. The elevator stopped at the 9th floor. After confirming the elevator stopped at the 9th floor, I waited for the next elevator to arrive.
‘What’s on the 9th floor?’
As soon as the elevator arrived, I went inside and hurriedly pressed the 9th floor, then turned my eyes to the floor directory.
On the 9th floor, only one word was written. CEO’s Office.
[This is the 9th floor. The doors are opening.]
When the doors opened, I could see an information desk, and there was one person who appeared to be a secretary sitting there.
“Seo Hanryul-ssi just went in here, right?”
“Hello. Is this your first visit? Outsiders need to complete a visit application process before visiting.”
The secretary demanded a visit application with a firm attitude, not answering my question.
‘I need to get in quickly.’
“Ah, I’m Seo Hanryul-ssi’s new manager. I was supposed to go in with Seo Hanryul-ssi, but I couldn’t make the visit application separately. I need to go in right away because of an urgent matter, but I’ll definitely make the visit application next time.”
“I’m sorry to tell you, but you cannot enter without a visit application. Please understand.”
The woman demanded a visit application form without changing her expression at all. It was a firm attitude that suggested she would never let me in. Not easy to deal with.
“Sigh… Secretary. I know well that I need to make a visit application, but due to unavoidable urgent circumstances today, I couldn’t apply in time. Seo Hanryul-ssi told me to come up immediately, and if I keep being unable to enter, your position might become difficult later as well.”
I had no choice but to change tactics. With a despicable semi-threatening strategy.
“Originally, entering directly without a separate visit application is procedurally impossible. Even if there’s an urgent matter next time, please be sure to apply.”
“Yes, thank you.”
After hearing my words, the woman sighed and opened the door for me.
After passing through the transparent automatic door, a hallway appeared. Following the hallway to the end, I could see a tightly closed door. In front of the room, the words ‘CEO’s Office’ were written in large letters.
I carefully placed my ear against the CEO’s office door. What on earth did he call him here for so suddenly?
“You fucking bastard. I took in a worthless nobody and you don’t know gratitude and act up? You think I’ve only seen guys like you for a day or two in the entertainment industry? Are you going to keep doing sneaky things behind my back like this?”
“CEO, you’re misunderstanding.”
“Where do you get off talking back to me word for word right now? Should I make it so you can never work in this industry again?”
“Please calm down, CEO.”
The atmosphere looked precarious. Inside the room, a man presumed to be the CEO was raging and raging, but Seo Hanryul couldn’t offer any resistance to him.
‘What did Seo Hanryul do wrong today? No matter how I look at it, there was nothing that warranted this.’
I began to trace back the story from the novel in my head.
That’s right. Seo Hanryul’s current agency is Red Entertainment. This is the agency he belonged to before making his nest at Lee Dojun’s agency, and the CEO here is described as the worst of the worst.
I don’t know why he started his first entertainment industry life at such a black agency when he has such a face, but anyway, the CEO here is human trash.
The funds used to establish the agency were also black money of unclear origin, and the reason Seo Hanryul met Cha Jaehyun was actually because of that human. That bastard forced Seo Hanryul to go to a charity event to bring in a big sponsor.
Still, it doesn’t matter anyway. Soon he’ll stick perfectly at the public audition for Lee Dojun’s agency, Youth Entertainment, and leave for there.
But it seemed that very reason was the cause of this current commotion. That human garbage must have sensed that Seo Hanryul would leave his agency as the contract expiration period approached, so he began finding fault with him at every turn and laying hands on him.
Everyone would know that Seo Hanryul was an incredible rough diamond, so naturally he wouldn’t want to lose him to anyone.
There’s about a month left until the public audition. Now I remember the novel’s contents in detail. At this time, he was beaten by the CEO and got a big wound on his face, and went to the audition before the wound had fully healed.
Crash.
While I was going through the novel’s contents in order, I began to hear sounds of something being thrown mercilessly inside the room.
“You yellow bastard with bad prospects… Want to die once today?”
This has to be stopped. Hearing that raw voice that seemed to have not even 1g of reason left, I opened the CEO’s office door wide without hesitation. I thought I should save Seo Hanryul first.
“What’s this bastard now?”
“CEO, my greetings are late. I’m Seo Jiwon, Seo Hanryul-ssi’s new manager.”
“Fuck, where did you throw away your sense? Can’t you see the atmosphere is serious? Get lost right now!”
“Hey, are you crazy? What is this place that you’re barging into? Get out right now.”
As soon as Seo Hanryul saw me, he was startled and tried to send me away.
“How did a mere manager bastard crawl in here? You want to die once today too?”
The CEO, as if he couldn’t see anything, pushed my shoulder hard. My body was helplessly pushed backward by the rough man’s gesture. The man with a bulky build that would appear in gangster movies picked up the nameplate from the desk and began approaching Seo Hanryul.
‘No, that crazy bastard.’
How is it that there’s not a single proper human in this novel? He’s not planning to strike with that nameplate, is he? If he gets hit, it’s at least a concussion.
I immediately approached the guy, grabbed his arm, and stopped his action.
“CEO, please calm down. A celebrity’s face is their life. You know it’s also a loss for you if Seo Hanryul-ssi gets hurt.”
“Won’t you get lost? Where did such an insolent bastard roll in from?”
But as if I wasn’t even visible to him, he pushed me aside and walked toward Seo Hanryul again. As if he would only catch that one guy, Seo Hanryul.
When I took the nameplate away, he now clenched his own fist tightly. His hands were as huge as his build, so when he made a fist, it became so frighteningly large that you’d mistake it for wearing boxing gloves. He was about to throw that giant fist at Seo Hanryul’s face.
“Please stop.”
“Does this crazy bastard want to die?”
I quickly ran and tightly grabbed his fist that was swinging toward the air. Perhaps because I caught a fist flying at high speed, the impact was transmitted directly to my hand and I felt great pain.
When I worked part-time at a dawn bar, I encountered situations like this quite often. People who got completely drunk, lost their reason, and became like dogs. If you can’t stop violent situations before they happen, the situation deteriorates uncontrollably. I couldn’t just stand by and watch such a scene unfold before my eyes.
“Fuck… Seo Hanryul, where did you bring such a beggar-like bastard from? The pair of you are really doing all sorts of things. Both of you get out right now!”
Only now did the CEO make a flustered expression and concluded the situation as he pleased.
“CEO, I’m truly sorry.”
Seo Hanryul apologized to that inhuman bastard, though I don’t know what he was sorry for.
“CEO, I’ll take Seo Hanryul-ssi and leave now.”
I hurriedly took Seo Hanryul out of the CEO’s office.
* * *
“Hey, I told you not to follow me. Are my words a joke to you? Or are you originally this unnecessarily meddlesome?”
When we returned to the car, Seo Hanryul broke the silence and suddenly got furiously angry at me. He couldn’t make a peep in front of that CEO bastard earlier, but now he’s sitting here spewing anger at innocent me.
I was also angry at this incomprehensible change of attitude. He really picked the wrong person to be angry at.
“Hey, have you been quietly enduring such ridiculous things until now? What are you lacking?”
When I was reading the book, the portion about Red Entertainment was quite short. Because Seo Hanryul moved agencies immediately after his contract ended. So I lightly regarded this place as just adversity that the author intended to make the protagonist’s growth and success stand out more.
But witnessing the vivid incident directly, I couldn’t think of it simply. He should have stood up to the CEO like he did to me in America, but he accepted all that craziness. No matter how much of a hopeless bastard Cha Jaehyun is, still, he’s not afraid of chaebols but he’s afraid of the CEO? What does he lack in his appearance and ability that he’s stuck in a place like this? I thought Seo Hanryul was extremely stupid.
“Cha Jaehyun, what I requested from you is manager work. Don’t cross the line.”
Seo Hanryul answered coldly.
