I Became the Evil God’s Apostle 5

Title: [General] Hey guys, has anyone beaten the Final Boss?? (Spoilers)

Fuck, I barely beat that bastard Orma, but which choice should I pick?

Comments [20]

user_1: I was so fucking pissed I chose to kill that son of a bitch lol

└ Me too

└ Fuck, of course you gotta kill him, that fucking bastard, seriously suffered like hell to kill him

└ For real lol

└ Ah, so it wasn’t just me lololol

user_2: Wow, you beat it??? How’d you do it… I’m hitting a wall from phase 1;;

user_3: There are choices? I’m curious, but I’d have to beat it first to see ㅠㅠ I’m jealous

user_4: Can’t you upload a strategy guide first?

└ There’s already a strategy guide that’s been organized and uploaded, but it’s in the physical realm so it doesn’t really mean much

└ For real, this bastard has the same patterns but sometimes you hit fast and sometimes you hit slow, it’s seriously fucking annoying and meaningless

└ The only method is the elementary school method of “watch and dodge”;

user_5: In the first place, there aren’t even many people who’ve made it to the final chapter, and even fewer who’ve beaten it..

user_6: Among the people who commented above, there are some who haven’t beaten it but are running their mouths, seriously

└ For real

└ lol If there’s no proof, what does that mean? lol I saw on Rettit that only the top 0.001% have beaten it lol

user_7: Hey, don’t pick that choice to save him, fuck, I pressed it out of curiosity and there’s another fight

└ For real??????????

└ That crazy bastard fights even when you try to save him and all that shit…

└ That fucker Orma gets even stronger, fuck

└ ? It’s possible for him to get stronger than that????

Title: [Info] [Final Chapter Spoilers] You guys should never pick this choice

When you beat the Final Boss Orma, a choice comes up like this

If you pick the choice ‘I want to save you and the world’ here, Orma suddenly goes insane and laughs, then goes berserk and you fight again

The pattern is completely different too and you just die in one hit if he touches you fuck I’m seriously screwed

Comments [22]

user_1: Crazy, you fight again??

user_2: Hey, did anyone see the screenshot someone uploaded? Right now there’s probably only one person in the entire world who’s beaten it in that state, and apparently another choice comes up. But if you pick the save choice again, you fight again??

└ ?? Isn’t that a bug?

└ That crazy bastard is begging to be killed, huh?

└ Just kill Orma, right? His existence is harmful

└ Got a link?

  └ I saw it on Rettit https://www.rettit.com/r/MOXNOX/comments/q1w2z3x4/Orma_final_choice_2

    └ Thanks for the link

    └ Crazy, it’s real

user_3: They’re basically saying not to save him lol;;; Uh, I have no intention of saving him either~ (I haven’t made it to the final chapter yet)

user_4: Ah, I was going to pick the save choice because I felt sorry for him, but I almost got screwed..

└ Just let Orma live in Hell forever~ I don’t give a fuck if the world gets destroyed or not~

└ What the hell did those priest bastards bring out lol The problem itself is a living disaster but what are they stopping disasters for lol

└ To stop disasters, Orma has to come outside and blah blah~ : Boring and pedantic

Just let it be destroyed, right? : Easy and simple

user_5: Would there be anyone who keeps picking the save choice? lol

└ Are they an M or an idiot?

└ Could be both

└ ;; Is it that bad?

user_6: I went to Rettit above and came back, and that guy’s really fucked in a battle of wills too lol Anyway, I’m gonna save you vs Then let’s fight

└ For now, it seems like the “then let’s fight” side is winning lol;

└ For real lol I am curious about the worldline where you pick the save choice until the end though.. I don’t know if there’s such a crazy person though.

* * *

The choice to save Orma, the Final Boss within the game, demanded a hefty price. When you subdued Orma, a choice appeared asking whether to save him or kill him. And if you chose to save him, Orma would go berserk and re-enter combat with his health fully restored.

Ban was also flustered at first. He attacked with completely different patterns from before, but still, if he got hit even once, Ban’s character would die without fail. Then it would return to before the first battle with Orma…. If it were an ordinary gamer, their mental state would have already broken at that point and they would have frantically excreted posts on all sorts of game communities resenting the game developers who created such a boss.

However, Ban, for whom <MOX NOX> was his first game, quickly calmed down and spent several more days straight conquering Orma. As time passed, Orma gradually felt less like a boss executing set patterns within the game and more like something actually alive.

Around that time, he might have continued playing out of sheer stubbornness. When he subdued Orma and chose the save option, Orma would go berserk again, and when he barely subdued him, the choice would appear again, and when he chose the save option, Orma would go berserk again. After doing that about three times, Ban finally managed to save Orma.

No, actually, he wasn’t really sure if he could truly save him. Orma, who had lost his will to fight, cried out that he wanted to die, and the game system presented a different, new choice from before.

[……The Evil God’s will is shattered to pieces and scatters together with the world. Will you become his Apostle and save him?]

He didn’t know what it meant to save. The world, or Orma. Or maybe both. But Ban, having learned that what Orma desired was death, looked at Orma with complicated feelings as he let out desperate screams from within the monitor.

After fighting back and forth like that for days, even pulling all-nighters, wouldn’t it be strange not to become attached? So Ban clicked ‘yes’ with sincere wishes for Orma’s happiness. After that… when he came to his senses, he had been reincarnated into the world within the game.

Reflecting on the past, Ban realized deep down that he had been looking forward to meeting Orma all along. “I want to become your Apostle”—after saying that, he felt both relieved and thrilled at the same time. He also quite liked the look of that dumbfounded face blinking its eyes over there.

“……Apostle?”

“Yes, Apostle.”

“What… is that?”

Uh, he didn’t expect this. The sharp, handsome man’s stupid expression was quite cute at first, but by this point it was bewildering and absurd.

This is bad. He’s really terrible at explaining things. Ban opened and closed his mouth repeatedly for a while, agonizing, before carefully speaking.

“Um… for now, should I say it’s an existence that does everything a God commands? An evangelist who spreads doctrine or takes on the mission the God gives….”

“So, you’re saying you’ll become my slave?”

Orma looked at Ban like he was a crazy person, even though he himself was insane. Feeling wronged by this, Ban added an explanation in a flustered manner.

“No, it’s similar but… since they’re a person who follows a God anyway, wouldn’t it be right to see them as a priest…?”

“Follow a God? Me, a God?”

As if the statement was absurd, Orma laughed wickedly. Apparently seeing a human who regarded him as a ‘God’ for the first time, he looked Ban up and down as if it were fascinating. Then he pressed his lips tightly shut and pondered for a moment.

What if he doesn’t accept me now? No way, I even reincarnated into the world within the game because of you. Ban looked at Orma with a trembling heart like a job seeker waiting for interview results.

Finally, after much deliberation, Orma raised his head, met Ban’s gaze, and opened his mouth.

“……You seem similar to me.”

“In what way exactly…?”

Ban asked back with a disgruntled face. He was curious about what Orma-nim saw him as to say he was similar to his half-crazed self.

Fortunately, Orma, who didn’t notice that part, answered plainly.

“You kept reviving.”

“Ah.”

In a sense, you could think they were similar, but they were actually completely different. Orma was close to having a body that couldn’t die. Though born as an ordinary human, after taking the power of a God, his body became a demigod and gained immortality. Unlike Ban, who actually died and revived, it was more terrible in that his body continuously regenerated and restored itself with accompanying pain rather than his life being completely severed.

Orma, whose face was stripped of emotion to the point where you couldn’t tell what he was thinking, spoke in a low voice that was tidier and moderately pleasant to hear compared to before. His golden eyes lowered and blinked slowly as if organizing his own thoughts while speaking.

“You probably haven’t set foot in the realm of God either… Your eyes aren’t golden, after all. But there’s definitely something. I’m curious about the limits of the power you possess, but you wouldn’t be willing to tell me, would you?”

“Um….”

To be precise, Ban himself didn’t know either. Ban rolled his eyes, escaping from Orma’s gaze following him. Orma, who didn’t expect Ban to answer from the beginning, continued without caring.

“So I don’t know your identity or your ulterior motives, but I’ll let you manipulate me as you wish. So go ahead and play with me as you please, and when it’s all over….”

“……When it’s over?”

“Kill me.”

Please.

The desperate plea made Ban’s chest ache. Ban finally realized that the time when he craved death was from a very long time ago, and that the reason he had been stuck in Hell all along was because he wanted to die.

In truth, strictly speaking, this place wasn’t actually Hell. It was just a gap in a space called ‘Rima’. There was nothing terrible that humans imagined, but in the empty space with nothing, day and night came periodically.

The reason this place was called Hell was simply because it had day and night with temperatures at which living things couldn’t survive. A repetition of days where even bones melted away and nights where even breath instantly froze solid.

Perhaps Orma had held hope that if he stayed in this place, he could eventually die someday. However, what he gained over the long time was likely only pain that he couldn’t endure without going insane and the regeneration of his body.

To think that what he craved all along while enduring in a place truly like Hell was merely death. Ban looked at Orma with a lost expression, not knowing where or how to even begin. Becoming someone’s salvation was such a heavy and difficult task.

What answer should he give? Should he at least say he would do so, even if it’s just empty words? But… what if that becomes Orma’s hope? What if he endures looking only at that one thing? He’s someone who has endured an endless time in this kind of space wanting to die, so it can’t be that simple.

After pondering for a long while, Ban slowly took a step toward Orma. Fortunately, Orma neither avoided nor stepped back. He just stared at Ban blankly.

Though it was a short distance, every step toward him was careful. Finally, when he became close enough to reach if he extended his hand, Ban bent his waist to meet Orma’s gaze, then gently took his hand and said.

“Whatever it may be.”

“……”

“Only for your sake, as your Apostle, I will act as you desire.”

So let your will be done, but do not leave you alone and lonely.

Until that day comes, I will be by your side.

Status: Ongoing Released: 2 Free Chapter Every Thursday
Reincarnated as a holy knight in a game, Ban decides that since he's gained abilities anyway, he'll prevent destruction and save the world. For that, he needs the power of the evil god Orma who's trapped in hell... "Only for you, as your apostle, I will act as you desire." "So, you're saying you'll become my slave?" Ban, having become Orma's apostle, sets off on a journey with him, but the path with a god is not easy. Ban struggles to cajole, appease, and threaten the pessimistic, nihilistic destructionist Orma. Will he be able to save both the world and Orma? 'Damn Orma. Let's see who wins, you or me.' "You just cursed at me, didn't you." [Preview] "Tell me. What reason is there for me not to kill this human? Killing this guy has nothing to do with destruction." Ban looked back at Orma with a displeased face. He had nothing to say because it wasn't wrong. As Orma said, it had nothing to do with destruction, and the inn employee had already wounded Orma's pride too much to say, 'Let's spare him because he's pitiful?' Actually, he wasn't particularly pitiful either... If this were hell, he would have been killed before that employee even opened his mouth, so Ban first thought that Orma was already being quite lenient. But he couldn't sincerely say something like, 'W-well, he's not particularly pitiful...! But still, if you kill him, we might get kicked out of this inn! I already paid all the money!' He'd already died twice from being stabbed with a spear the moment he encountered Orma, so there was no way that would work. After pondering, Ban thought, 'To hell with it,' and clasped his hands together, praying to Orma in his heart as if offering a prayer. He'd already paid 3 gold for the meal and bath water, and including today's room rate, he'd paid 8 gold. 8 gold! ...Thinking that all he'd done out of that was just take a bath, tears naturally welled up in his eyes and he became desperate. "O Orma, please bestow mercy..." "...Mercy?" What did I even do that you're asking for mercy... Orma's expression became absurd at the unexpected reaction. However, when those persistently following sky-blue eyes sparkled pitifully, Orma unconsciously hesitated. Having just finished bathing, moisture clung to his mysteriously pure face, and when water droplets glistened at the tips of those long eyelashes, a strange feeling arose. A feeling as if he was doing something terribly wrong... The strength gradually left the hand that had been choking the inn employee's neck, and before long, Orma finally put the inn employee down, unable to hide his uncomfortable feelings. His head was full of questions and flustered emotions. "Ha... I'm at a loss for words." "Thank you, Orma-nim!" "Don't look at me like that." "Pardon?" "It's annoying..." This is really absurd. What is this? What did I even do. You're my god, so why are you treating me like such a shameless person... The god, experiencing a honey trap from his own apostle for the first time in his life, muttered his complex feelings randomly and expressed his grievance.
