# Chapter 72
As the class period was coming to an end, I reached into my desk drawer to find my textbook. While rummaging around for it, something suddenly came to mind, so I spoke up.
“Kwon Dojin.”
“What is it this time?”
“Did you know that photos of you and Baek Han from the sports festival are circulating among the students?”
I hadn’t known about it myself until I discovered Baek Han’s photo in Lee Yumin’s room. When I freaked out asking what it was, Yumin proudly told me it was distributed by the fan club, and she had even paid money for some of them.
“Ah, that. I gave permission. Even if they were banned, they’d still circulate underground anyway.”
He added that he was actually the one who suggested that the fan club should take the lead since the photos would be sold regardless. I chuckled softly at his words. I suddenly realized that although they were called a hierarchy, they were no different from idols among the students.
“Does Habin want one too?”
“What?”
“My photo. I can get you some.”
He blinked his large eyes prettily as he asked. I found myself nodding slightly while gazing at his sparkling eyes. I was curious about how the photos turned out.
“Just wait a moment.”
Kwon Dojin picked up his phone and tapped the screen with his thumb. Was he contacting the person who had the originals? Or was he asking someone to get a few copies?
While I was pondering these questions, the bell for fifth period rang. Soon after, the subject teacher came in, and Dojin put his phone away.
“You’ll be able to see them next period.”
“Okay.”
Since we couldn’t look at them during class, I simply acknowledged his words without much thought. The class began as the teacher’s voice filled the classroom.
The time-specific nature of being the fifth period, combined with the cool temperature thanks to the air conditioner, invited drowsiness. Actually, the temperature was just an excuse; being fifth period alone was reason enough to feel sleepy.
I rubbed my heavy eyelids and endured the slowly passing time. Mechanically moving my hand to scribble notes, I barely managed to keep up with the lesson until the salvation bell finally rang.
As the break-time bell rang, the teacher closed the textbook and trudged out of the classroom. Even though fifth period was over, some students could be seen putting their heads down on their desks, still feeling lethargic. I was just as tired, letting out a small yawn.
*Slide, BANG!*
“Dojin-nim! As you requested, I’ve brought all the original photos and videos from the sports festival!”
“Gosh-!”
I flinched in surprise at the sudden noise. Looking in the direction of the sound, I saw students with their hands full of items. Not just one student, but several.
“Oh my, I didn’t realize there were so many.”
Smiling awkwardly, Kwon Dojin gestured for them to come over. Following his signal, they filed into the classroom and began placing various things on his desk.
“This memory stick contains all the photos and videos currently in circulation.”
“And the rest?”
“All the photos and videos taken during the sports festival!”
There’s that many?
Kwon Dojin and Baek Han had participated in games at the sports festival for about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Even stretching it, it wouldn’t exceed 3 hours. I couldn’t understand how photos and videos taken in such a short time could fill so many memory sticks that multiple people had to carry them.
“I see? Habin, what would you like?”
“Huh? What?”
“Do you want just the ones in circulation? Or all of them?”
“Wouldn’t just the ones in circulation be enough…?”
It seemed like it would be hard enough to view all the circulating ones. Even considering that videos take up a lot of space, there were more than five memory sticks on Kwon Dojin’s desk. I turned pale at the sight of such fanaticism emanating from those small objects.
“Really? Then I just need to keep this one, right?”
“Yes. That’s enough.”
One of the people who had been watching our conversation carefully backed away slightly, leaving the memory sticks on the desk. Kwon Dojin looked up at this movement and smiled gently as he made eye contact with them.
“Thank you. I’ll let you know if I need anything else.”
“Yes, yes! Please just say the word! And these are some printed photos from the fan club! We brought them so they’re easier to view!”
The person with flushed cheeks placed a few more photos on the desk. Then they bowed deeply, and everyone who had come with them bowed as well.
“Then we’ll be going now!”
“Take care.”
As Kwon Dojin waved his hand lightly, sighs of admiration filled the air. Of course, despite that, their movements as they left the classroom were efficient and without fuss.
“Was that person the fan club president?”
“Yeah. The one who just talked with me is the fan club president.”
Kwon Dojin nodded simply as he picked up a memory stick from the desk, while I examined the photos beside it.
“These are really well-taken.”
Dojin’s image was captured so perfectly it drew admiration from me. It seemed to be the exact moment he jumped up to make a shot, with his flowing hair and his posture pushing the ball toward the hoop captured without any blur.
These kinds of moments can easily become embarrassing memories if poorly photographed, but instead, they had been captured so well they looked like professional photoshoots. Even the position of the sunlight was perfect, avoiding backlight, which was also noteworthy.
“We’d need a laptop or something to see the rest.”
“I’ll just take them home and look. Weren’t you giving them to me anyway?”
“Hmm-.”
Actually, I didn’t need to keep them; just looking would have been enough. Either way, we would need something like a laptop.
In any case, after seeing one good photo, I was curious about how well the others turned out. My curiosity naturally piqued, I reached out my arm to grab the memory stick, but Kwon Dojin blocked me.
“Habin.”
“What?”
His voice, coated with sweetness, tapped at my ear, making me feel uneasy instead. He had always used such a voice with me, yet I felt this way.
“They’re my photos, right?”
“I… guess?”
“And I’m the one who got them.”
“Well-, yes.”
“So why don’t we look at them together at my place?”
“Huh?”
That conclusion seems a bit strange?
I wondered if I’d heard wrong, but judging by Kwon Dojin’s unchanged expression, that wasn’t the case. I was both dumbfounded that he would use his own photos to lure me and surprised to find myself tempted by the offer.
“Is that okay?”
“Well, it’s fine I guess.”
It wouldn’t be my first or second time going to Kwon Dojin’s place, and there was no reason to refuse, so I nodded willingly. At that, Kwon Dojin smiled brightly.
After agreeing to go to his house, I was able to look at the photos without any interruption. Looking at Dojin kicking the ball, Dojin in a physical confrontation with Baek Han, Dojin dribbling, and so on, the short break time that remained quickly passed. They were so well-taken that it felt like I was looking at concept photos.
There were still many photos I hadn’t seen, so I instinctively sighed when the class bell rang. But apart from the disappointment, I diligently prepared for class before the teacher came in.
Then, when I suddenly looked at Kwon Dojin, I saw a satisfied expression all over his face. It seemed to be because I had enthusiastically looked at the photos, which made me feel embarrassed.
I was pressing my palm against my cheeks, which felt slightly warm, when fortunately, the front door opened, and the teacher came in.
“Where did we leave off?”
And thanks to the teacher who seamlessly continued the class after settling at the podium, my embarrassment was quickly forgotten.
The class, which had been proceeding as usual, began to get chaotic when a loud vibration sound echoed in the classroom.
“Who on earth would during class-.”
The teacher, furrowing his brow, couldn’t finish his sentence. It was because after the first vibration, vibrations began to sound from various places. Some even had cheerful notification sounds like “ding-“.
“What’s going on?”
“They say it’s motorcycles?”
“What? Motorcycles?”
“Everyone, quiet!”
The noise momentarily subsided at the sound of the teacher banging on the podium, but it grew loud again as the agitated murmurs from other classes carried through the corridor.
“Tsk.”
Kwon Dojin, who had taken out his phone to check messages just like the other classmates who were openly doing the same, clicked his tongue softly. He seemed to have fully grasped what was happening.
In fact, when I heard the word ‘motorcycle,’ I also thought of an event likely to happen in a school hierarchy manhwa. And such speculation quickly turned into certainty.
“Oh my god, a gang of delinquents is coming toward our school on motorcycles? Really?”
“Motorcycles! That’s what Dojin-nim and Baek Han-nim hate the most!”
“Look at the photo, there are more than ten of them even at a glance?”
As expected, it was an incident where delinquents from another school were raiding on motorcycles. Although it didn’t happen in all school hierarchy stories, it was a common staple, so my eyes sparkled with interest.
“They’re already here. Coming through the school gate!”
*Honk honk-*
The sound of horns, which should never be heard at school, spread noisily. The classmates, forgetting it was class time, clung to the windows to look outside, and with that, the already noisy school became even louder.
“They’re even carrying weapons…”
“What are they thinking, doing this?”
Even without looking out the window, I could understand the situation thanks to those who were relaying information. Kwon Dojin frowned and stood up from his seat.
“Are you going?”
“Yeah, I have to. They’ve made it impossible to ignore them.”
Since they had come on motorcycles and provoked in front of the entire student body, it would indeed be difficult to ignore.
Now that the prerequisite of delinquents from another school coming to the school grounds on motorcycles had been established, if the other side just shouted loudly enough to make the whole school hear—
“Kwon Dojin! Baek Han! Come out now!”
“Are you chickening out? Even though you’re ranked second?”
“Haha! As expected, even the second rank isn’t much!”
It was the completion of the true cliché.
