Hold On 35

# Chapter 35

Despite gasping for breath, biting his lower lip, and clutching the bed sheets, Raon couldn’t regain his senses amidst the continuously building heat. While he had casually dated people and enjoyed kisses, this was his first time spending the night with someone.

As if proving his words about wanting to devour him from head to toe weren’t a lie, Jaehwi was persistent. He didn’t stop despite being told enough, despite being told it was difficult.

Even when Raon tried to escape the overwhelming sensations, he couldn’t break free from Jaehwi’s embrace. Though it was clearly his own body, every time Jaehwi’s hands and lips touched him, undeniable moans and rough breaths mixed together and flowed from Raon’s mouth from the pleasure.

“Hwi-ya… I…”

Raon’s legs trembled as his eyes met Jaehwi’s, who was looking down at him from above. His sensitively heated body was helpless against Jaehwi’s touch, and the intense stimulation made Raon’s eyes become wet and red.

“When hyung is like this, I get even more… crazy.”

Jaehwi’s lips, which had grabbed Raon’s ankle and bitten the protruding ankle bone, gradually moved up from the ankle along the calf.

“Stop. Please. Hold me.”

Raon’s voice, pleading with a wet face, was enough to crumble what little reason Jaehwi had left.

“Raon-ah.”

Jaehwi was making eye contact, calling his name softly, and gently kissing various parts of his face, but Raon couldn’t readily answer. His vision repeatedly blurred and cleared from the emotions welling up.

“Kang Raon.”

Raon wrapped his arms around Jaehwi’s neck and pulled him close as he called his name again in a much lower voice.

The large, hot body drew closer, and in an instant, Raon was terrifyingly trapped in Jaehwi’s embrace.

“I love you.”

With those words whispered in his ear, as if not allowing even the slightest gap between them, holding him tight, the atmosphere in the bedroom completely changed.

Was it his fault for carelessly touching the young Esper?

Once in Jaehwi’s hands, Raon was helplessly at his mercy.

* * *

“Hyung. Sorry…”

Raon, who was about to close his drowsy eyes, frowned at Jaehwi’s murmur. Before he could say “are you crazy,” Jaehwi’s hands started moving again, and Raon barely managed to grab Jaehwi’s hair with what strength he had left.

“No more!”

He met his gaze and spoke firmly, but Jaehwi slightly raised the corner of his mouth.

“Really can’t?”

Trapped between the bed and Jaehwi, unable to dodge sideways or escape, Raon swallowed the saliva pooled in his mouth and shook his head.

Jaehwi’s lips, which had been tapping and gently pressing Raon’s nose tip with his high nose, came dangerously close to Raon’s lips.

“Do you really like me?”

If he had stayed still, they wouldn’t have touched, but due to Jaehwi’s languid whispering, their lips lightly touched and separated repeatedly.

“Answer me.”

Seeing that Jaehwi would likely torment him until he answered, Raon raised his head slightly and brought his lips to Jaehwi’s first. They say if you can’t avoid it, enjoy it. Though it was a bit overwhelming and tiring, Raon didn’t know how to avoid Jaehwi who was clinging to him like this.

When Raon offered a soft and warm kiss, Jaehwi responded with a passionate and intense, unforgettable kiss.

Not a quiet and peaceful night, but one filled with sounds and heat created by the two of them.

Raon’s fingertips left marks on Jaehwi’s shoulders and arms, and Jaehwi left traces all over Raon’s body.

“…. ….”

“Hmm?”

Raon reflexively responded to the voice heard in his half-sleep. Though called a response, it was at most a slight movement of his lips, as his voice was completely hoarse.

“…. I’ll be back.”

With Jaehwi’s voice, along with the touch of his hand stroking his head and something moist on his forehead, Raon tried to open his eyes, but he couldn’t break free from the hazy sleep.

Where are you going? Where are you going?

He wanted to ask, but his voice wouldn’t come out.

“….”

What had touched his forehead now touched his still-unopened eyelids, the tip of his nose, and his lips before disappearing. The gentle hands that had been touching him were gone, and Raon’s consciousness, unable to ask where he was going until the end, slipped back into deep dreams.

“Seriously. What is this…”

At his usual waking time, Raon, who opened his eyes alone in the wide bed, brushed back his disheveled hair and tried to get up, but then rolled over to the cold empty space beside him. Jaehwi was the only one with whom he had shared a bed. Both 10 years ago and now. While he had happened to share a bed with Jaehwi for the past few days, this feeling was a first.

Why do I feel so empty? Empty?

Startled by the sudden thought, Raon buried his face in the pillow Jaehwi had slept on, making a groaning sound.

Just yesterday morning when they woke up together, he hadn’t had such thoughts at all. Even though people are adaptable creatures, to feel such emotions in such a short time?

Along with the encroaching self-reproach, Raon, who had been tracing Jaehwi’s scent, stayed like that for a long time before leaving the bed.

After showering and thoroughly drying his hair with a warm hairdryer, Raon stared at himself reflected in the bathroom mirror. An ordinary mid-twenties man stood there. Average height, average appearance, hair dyed light brown, a somewhat thin body that was currently neither ordinary nor peaceful.

The nape of his neck, shoulders, chest, abdomen, arms, thighs—all were covered with reddish marks on the skin. Though it looked like a serious skin disease, in reality, these were all made by one person last night. The delicate skin was raw, the dull pain unfamiliar, and the muscle pain throughout his body equally novel.

“He really did devour me thoroughly.”

Borrowing Jaehwi’s vocabulary to express it, Raon let out a long sigh as he slightly turned his body to look at his back. With the clear handprints on his buttocks, Raon’s cheeks turned slightly red, but his complexion quickly returned to normal after covering his body with a shower robe.

He wasn’t surprised that Jaehwi was still gone even after he had finished washing. After all, he had heard him say in his half-sleep that he was going somewhere.

It was a morning no different from before meeting Jaehwi again. He showered with the music turned up loud and briefly contemplated what to wear in the dressing room. No, he chose his clothes more carefully than usual. It had to be soft to the touch, and as he looked for something that could perfectly hide the marks Jaehwi had made, his choices were considerably narrowed.

He came out to the living room, turned on the news, and went to the coffee machine to brew coffee.

8:30 AM. In 15 minutes, Jay would come in. Then, off to work.

Whether Jaehwi was there or not, Raon’s time was passing just fine.

Enjoying the subtle coffee aroma spreading throughout the living room, as he was contemplating whether to drink it as an Americano or add milk to make it a latte, Raon’s gaze turned to the news he had turned on.

-“Can a B-grade dungeon suddenly change to SS-grade?”

-“We measure dungeon grades by combining various situations, including the ripples around the dungeon occurrence, and it’s over 99 percent identical to predictions. However, occasionally when unexpected situations occur inside the dungeon…”

-“Shouldn’t you predict all that too? What good is 99 percent accuracy? The 1 percent is the problem! This dungeon was open for 3 days and 19 hours. If it had taken 5 more hours, there would have been an outbreak…”

People Raon knew were spewing messy, garbage-like words that were far from a proper debate. And they didn’t miss the opportunity to avoid responsibility. The morning news anchor in the middle mediated between the two with appropriate words. It was something that always happened whenever a large dungeon appeared or variables occurred.

But where did he really go? Did he run away because he’s embarrassed to see my face?

If that were the case, Jaehwi showed no hesitation whatsoever in bed last night. He was almost tyrannical…

Raon thought that even if they shared their bodies, the relationship between him and Jaehwi wouldn’t change dramatically. But to think it really would be like that. It wasn’t even intercourse accompanied by guiding. As soon as the word guiding came to mind, he tried to feel the energy, but his suspicion was confirmed.

It was a night spent as Min Jaehwi and Kang Raon, not as an Esper and a Guide. What should I do about this… He needs a Guide, that’s a fact. As he recalled that part again, a headache came.

He needed to properly discuss this with Jaehwi. Seriously, how is he going to face me later? Wouldn’t this kind of conversation be better pillow talk?

-“We’re not here to determine who’s right or wrong. We’re here to accurately inform everyone of the situation, and to say that such things happen, so we should always be prepared and move in a direction that minimizes damage. This is the context…”

-“But still, once Nox was deployed, it was immediately resolved.”

Raon’s gaze turned to the TV screen.

“My condition is you, hyung. I just need you.” S-class esper Jaehwi reappears after 10 years and reunites with Raon. He refuses to accept any guide except Raon—and doesn’t want anyone else either. But Raon, a C-class guide who sees himself as inadequate, keeps rejecting him. Then Raon encounters Jaehwi going berserk in a dungeon. He does everything he can to guide him, but ends up losing consciousness. When he opens his eyes, Raon has regressed to the day they reunited…?! *** “Please answer me. I feel like I need to hear it today. You want someone young and obedient who listens well, right? Someone who does as they’re told—that’s a given.” Unable to avoid his gaze, Raon chose to close his eyes instead. Jaehwi seemed just as confused as he was. His voice was infinitely cold one moment, then warm the next, as if it had never been otherwise. Sharp informal speech that cut into his chest would suddenly soften into formal speech, gentle as a spring breeze. “That’s right.” Despite his jumbled thoughts, his mouth moved on its own. “Will you punish me if I’m a bad boy?” A pleasant laugh, hot breath against his ear. Jaehwi’s lips brushed Raon’s earlobe as he whispered low. Those heated lips touched the earlobe, then continued down to his exposed neckline as Raon tilted his head back. “I will punish you.” Raon slowly raised his hand from where it had been resting. It wandered uncertainly before finding the collar of Jaehwi’s gown. His hand opened, palm pressing against Jaehwi’s chest. Weakly, Raon tried to push him away. “Then I’ll take my punishment until your anger subsides.”
