Director Na Taeseok returns to television after five years.

His new work <Glass Holding Stars> is a Season 2 spinoff of <Starlight Falls>, where actors Jung Haesung and Kim Dohyeong could have developed into past lovers. Director Na’s side insists that not a single person from the previous cast should be different. While the production company says they are still reviewing the matter, the agencies of both actors have responded that they are showing positive signs. All eyes are on the movements of these two people who will meet on screen two years after their separation.

Wootae, who had been reading the articles popping up one after another, let out a shallow sigh. “Aigo,” he groaned, leaning back on the sofa and tilting his head.

“The internet reaction will be crazy too.”

He muttered, shaking his head. Dohyeong shouldn’t read the articles, he thought, and the fleeting worry made his insides increasingly uneasy.

[Gossip] Those two from 2 years ago, really returning in the same drama?

LOLOLOLOL After all that fuss and press conference chaos, I knew this would happen~

I acknowledge JHS and KDH’s chemistry

But their divorce wasn’t just noise marketing, right?

Seriously, was this all part of some grand plan?

You have trust issues lol

When I see these posts, I get chills. Were they originally acquainted?

└ Seriously, are they friends?

└└ Breaking news, they knew each other

The bastard who turned our Doh’s life into kimbap is making a comeback ffs

└ Kimbap lmaooooooo

└└ Who turned whose life into kimbap? Did Doh do it to Seong? Lololol Wasn’t it YOU who held back Jung Haesung, who almost went to Hollywood, through marriage? Wasn’t it YOU who divorced after hitting the panic button over some advice?

└└└ Wtf, as a Doh fan, is it “advice” to criticize the acting of someone minding their own business? “You have no talent as an actor~” Is that appropriate to say on a reality show to someone who struggled through indie films and years of obscurity?

Doh fans are hilarious lololol But that’s true, Doh’s acting rides on Seong’s coattails

└ True, didn’t he get movie roles thanks to Seong’s influence?

└└ That fell through~ Because they divorced~

└└└ Would that be because of art-obsessed JHS? It’s Doh’s lack of skill, right?

└└└└ Didn’t amazing Seong make Doh go to a psychiatrist? Isn’t that criminal?

Openly starting a fan war lololololol Grabbing popcorn now

He had thought the hardest thing in this world was the first step, but it seemed that wasn’t always the case.

Sitting in the chair and quietly staring at himself in the mirror, Dohyeong let out a long sigh.

He had thought he would return someday, but he hadn’t expected it to be this soon. He was already overwhelmed just by the fact that he had gotten a chance to start anew.

“Dohyeong-ssi, close your eyes.”

At those words, Dohyeong slightly closed his eyes. A thin brush tickled his eyelids.

Even this sensation was one he was tasting again after a long time, making him furrow his brow and twitch his nose. It wasn’t that he disliked it. The long-forgotten sensation was pleasantly unfamiliar.

“You haven’t changed at all. Is this still ticklish?”

“They say people die when they change. I’m still… ticklish.”

Dohyeong answered with an awkward smile.

This was a salon he used to visit regularly during his acting career, but it was his first visit since taking his temporary break. Perhaps because he thought he would never come back, it felt even more moving.

The person in charge of Dohyeong’s makeup was Manager Min, who had always been his makeup artist.

Her affectionate voice as she spoke to him remained unchanged from back then. Now as then, she was truly a good person.

“I’m so happy to see Dohyeong-ssi again. But your skin is still the same? Did you take care of it while resting?”

“Yes. Even though I didn’t know when I’d return, my friend insisted I had to maintain it no matter what…”

“Oh my, where? Where did you go that made it even better than before? Introduce me too. That friend must be a really good person. It’s not easy to help like that. You know?”

Dohyeong burst into laughter. He had already nodded at the mention of “good person,” but he still wanted to say it out loud, making the inside of his mouth itch.

“Yes, a good person indeed.”

Normally, she would have interrogated him about who it was, whether they were a celebrity or an ordinary person.

Manager Min was quieter than expected, which made him feel oddly anxious. It was his usual habit. To mentally replay the reasons behind someone’s reactions several times.

Even though he recalled his counselor telling him he didn’t need to do this, it wasn’t as easy as it sounded.

The brush tickling his face also stopped moving. When he slightly opened his eyes, feeling strange.

“Dohyeong-ssi.”

Manager Min’s troubled expression was visible. As Dohyeong turned his head following her gaze, his face instantly froze.

“…Hyung.”

A small voice that no one could hear escaped between his lips.

He tightly clenched the hand resting on his knee. That gaze staring at him. As always, those eyes brimming with confidence seemed to pierce through him.

“It’s been a while, Kim Dohyeong-ssi.”

“Yes, it’s been a while, Jung Haesung-ssi.”

Would his voice shake? Would his surprise be all too evident? Worries piled upon worries.

“I’d like to talk with Kim Dohyeong-ssi, Manager Min.”

At those words, Manager Min glanced at Dohyeong in the mirror.

“The makeup is finished, so talk slowly and come out. Call me if anything happens.”

“Yes, thank you, Manager-nim.”

Manager Min smiled faintly at Dohyeong’s polite response. She bowed slightly to Haesung in greeting, then quietly left the room.

Being left alone together felt strangely unfamiliar. He didn’t know if it was because they had been apart for a long time, or simply because Haesung made him uncomfortable.

“…What do you want to say?”

As soon as he opened his mouth, the nightmare of that day came back.

“You look good. Different from before.”

With the following answer, the faintly blurring memory became clear, and his breath caught.

‘Actually, Dohyeong is… how should I put it, not an actor who gives his all. Whether it’s low immersion or weak character analysis, I’m not sure.’

It was something Haesung had said on a reality program he had appeared on by chance. During filming an advertisement with an actor he had worked with on a movie, the topic of Dohyeong came up, and Haesung casually spilled his honest inner thoughts.

‘Sometimes it’s frustrating to watch. If he finds the interpretation of the work difficult, he could ask me, but that doesn’t happen.’

It was just two conversations, but the impact was quite significant.

They say any actor attracts haters, but the comments that poured in after Haesung’s remarks were sharper than anything else.

The most decisive factor was separate, though. Dohyeong bit his lip hard as he thought of that moment.

Cropped videos of Dohyeong’s performances and the comments on them began to multiply instantly.

His agency said it was just a passing wind, but the reality wasn’t so.

A single remark from the closest person—his husband, no less—had a bigger ripple effect than expected, and the social perception that came with being Alpha and Omega cast him down into the abyss once more.

‘Honestly, they say Jung Haesung still hasn’t Imprinted, and I think I know why’

‘Stop trying to enthrall Jung Haesung with your pheromones and try to enthrall him with your skill. He always says he likes actors who are sincere about acting.’

‘Just let him go, he’s milked his name value enough’

Did Haesung truly not know what impact those comments had on him?

Dohyeong slowly opened his tightly closed eyes. Then he quietly looked at Haesung, who was watching him.

The person he thought he would never be able to let go of, but now wanted to let go of forever. A past relationship and respected senior who he no longer wanted to let into the boundaries of his life.

It was an intense reunion with him.

“I’m doing too well to complain, and there’s no reason not to be good. I’d prefer if we didn’t acknowledge each other privately like this again, Jung Haesung-ssi.”
