At the pinnacle of evil, Terren Meyer prayed to the heavens.
If there is a God, please — just let me die.
Return the happiness that was always theirs to every scapegoat.
It was as though a voice descended from the sky.
Atone for your sins, Terren Meyer. You are not yet worthy even of death.
Terren was a filthy commoner — vermin who had crawled into an academy meant for nobles.
Worn down by violence and discrimination, Terren wanted to turn the world upside down. And so —
At sixteen, he stepped into the world of black magic.
At nineteen, he led a rebellion.
At twenty, everyone died.
And at twenty-six,
Terren had regrets.
Consumed by remorse, he prayed every day to be allowed to die.
Perhaps the heavens heard him. He was suddenly thrown back to when he was sixteen — those terrible days.
Terren struggles desperately to set everything right, but —

“Terren. Please, just don’t get hurt. Don’t wound yourself. Don’t use your body so carelessly.”
“Don’t leave me. Don’t betray me.”
The one standing in his way at every turn is the revolting face of his lifelong nemesis — Leopold Delua.
And to make things worse, the moment their eyes meet, Leopold smiles at him — shyly.
