How to Escape the Seduction of the Second-Ranked Side Story 7

[Confessing my loss on the first attempt.]

The Economics beauty and the Engineering story guy are dating.

Ah… Farewell… my first loves…

– Really….?

└ ㅇㅇ (yes yes)

– Why…?

└ I want to know too…

└ So how did they end up dating exactly;;;

– It’s a lie, right…?

└ Accept reality

– What’s with the united front in the comments lolololol

– That’s how it happened.

└ lololololololol crying

– Really, the good-looking ones date each other

– But weren’t the Economics beauty and the Engineering story guy already a famous couple since high school?

└ Huh? They went to the same high school?

└ Aren’t they talking about KDJ and LHB. All the nearby high school students would’ve known. That they were dating.

└ How on earth would all the nearby high school students know about their relationship? Did they broadcast it or something?

└ KDJ caught everyone around LHB, regardless of gender, like catching lice lololol It was like a 5-kilometer no-approach zone around LHB, like he was some kind of pest control service

└ When really, the ones who needed pest control help were those two….

[So you only just found out that this generation’s greatest obsessive guy is dating the Engineering story guy? Why???????]

Did this generation’s obsessive guy let someone who was bothering the story guy slide? With that personality?????????

– I can feel the genuine doubt from the number of question marks

– There’s only one reason why the obsessive guy stayed still

└ This generation’s greatest tamer?

└ Fuck lololololololol

└ Ah but honestly that’s the only reason

– So is he starting the crackdown again now?

└ 100% probability

[So now it’s a 5-kilometer no-approach zone around the story guy again ㅠㅜ?]

5 kilometers means I can’t see his face….. Just let me see his face….

– Ah lololololol you’re serious about looks

└ I had an awakening seeing that face every day, you know…. It was the first time in my life I went to school when I didn’t even have class

└ You’re crazy, so you were really serious

└ Yeah…ㅠㅜ

[Then how did people find out they’re dating? Did the Economics beauty lose patience and reveal it?]

Holding my breath waiting for someone to tell me huff

– I heard the story guy revealed it

└ Huh? That doesn’t seem like his personality though?

└ What, how do you know that

└ Same high school alumnus haha

└ Aha

– Now breathe!!

└ Not yet, they haven’t told us how it was revealed

└ True

Habin read down through the text filling the screen that had been shoved in front of him, then shook his head at the endless parade and pushed the phone away.

“Just what kind of relationship are you having that such talk is going around?”

“A normal relationship like everyone else has.”

“Excuse me. If it were really a normal relationship, it wouldn’t be this much of a hot topic.”

Huh, really. He looked sourly at Hyeonwon, who was deliberately scoffing. Was he always like this?

“I think we’re dating normally though… In the first place, what became a topic wasn’t our dating history but Dojin’s face. You know how handsome he is.”

“Yeah, your boyfriend is handsome.”

But you’re pretty popular yourself too…

Hyeonwon looked sourly at Habin, who left out his own looks, another cause of the buzz, when talking about it. He’d vaguely sensed it, but it seemed Habin didn’t really know his own looks were impressive.

Is it because there’s an even more handsome boyfriend next to him?

“Still, it is a bit fascinating.”

“Since last night, there’s been nothing but talk about you two.”

“That’s why. I’m saying that’s fascinating.”

Habin even clicked his tongue inwardly after confirming that some posts had even made it to the Hot Board. For a personal dating history to make it to the Hot Board. Students were really, they seemed fine but something was strange about them.

“But hey, is this real?”

Thinking the relationship talk was about to end, Habin read the post that Hyeonwon, who had sneakily moved closer, showed him.

[Summary of what this generation’s obsessive guy did (not accurate x speculation ㅇ)]

First of all, this is compiled from rumors I heard, so it’s not accurate, believe it or not, it’s up to you ㅇㅇ

The obsessive guy was already famous since middle school

But after entering high school, he fell for the story guy he met and only clung to him and treated him somewhat specially, like an exception?

Maybe because of that, the guys who were kind of his followers lost their minds;; Since they couldn’t say anything to the person himself, they only bullied the innocent story guy, and because of that, the obsessive guy went crazy and turned the class upside down

And from then on began the obsessive guy’s extraordinary behavior…

First of all, regardless of teachers or whatever, keeping people away from the story guy was basic. Most of the guys interested in the story guy got filtered out here

But you didn’t get filtered out? And showed even a little favorability toward the story guy? Then you could never be seen near the story guy again, they say

No one knows exactly what happened. Either he handled it quietly enough, or it never happened but the rumor spread that way, one of the two

But what’s kind of funny is there’s talk that he was doing this even before dating the story guy. First year, second semester? Considering the talk going around that his obsession got worse from then, it seems somewhat credible

Anyway, it’s fortunate they ended up dating, otherwise… shudder;;

Still, if you’re from the same high school as the story guy you’d all know, but maybe because he was the type who had no interest in people, he had no friends either. I think there was just one, but anyway, so dramatic things didn’t really happen. His school life was more peaceful and quiet than expected…

But like beans in a drought, really occasionally, very occasionally, when the story guy sometimes showed >>human interest<< (definitely not favorability, just curiosity level) in other people, the obsessive guy would steal all that attention away with aegyo and eloquence pulled from his very soul

Well, since he’s good-looking, the aegyo kind of suited him… it did suit him, but honestly, if you see it in person, it’s shock itself. People who’ve seen the obsessive guy alone will probably relate

And that story guy… is really a famous face-lover, so he’d die happy every time the obsessive guy acted cute. Fucking threw away all that human and very small curiosity and gave his attention to the obsessive guy…

Thinking about it, the obsessive guy’s bad habits are really the story guy’s fault for encouraging them

There’s still a lot more to say but I’m getting lazy so I won’t

If you object, you’re completely right

– Looking at it like this makes me more curious… Just what kind of school days did the obsessive guy and story guy have…

– The obsessive guy acting cute? Even better

└ I’m serious, I want to see it just once

– But isn’t that level like gaslighting or something?

– Everyone’s fucking interested in the obsessive guy and story guy lol

└ So you don’t like it?

└ No. I like it.

.

.

.

“Well, it’s probably right?”

“If it’s right then it’s right, and if not then not. What’s with that ambiguous answer?”

“Well, there are parts I don’t know about too?”

“What don’t you know?”

“Here, that he was like that even before we started dating.”

Back then, it was a time when he didn’t know Dojin as well as now, so he couldn’t be certain. Still, considering Dojin’s personality, it was a perfectly plausible story.

“But if this is true, isn’t it kind of problematic?”

“What is?”

Even though Hyeonwon didn’t hide his uncomfortable expression, Habin didn’t care. Rather, when he expressed doubt, Hyeonwon was flustered.

“No. If he was only getting rid of people hitting on you, that’s one thing, but didn’t he act so you couldn’t even make friends properly?”

“Ah, that.”

Responding nonchalantly, Habin checked the lecture materials he’d downloaded. It was because he had a history of not checking this morning and then frantically re-downloading it during class after discovering it was a corrupted file.

“It’s fine. It’s cute, isn’t it?”

“…Huh? Cute?”

“Yeah. And it’s not like I deliberately don’t stop him. It’s also comfortable.”

If Habin wanted it, Dojin was the type to grant even things he didn’t approve of, for the most part. So all of Dojin’s actions could be considered to have taken place with Habin’s tacit consent.

“Aren’t you frustrated?”

“I would be if I had an outgoing personality, right?”

Fortunately, or perhaps he should say, he basically preferred time alone. Dojin was the only exception.

The more Hyeonwon conversed with Habin, the more incomprehensible things seemed to increase, so he decided to quietly keep his mouth shut. Since the person involved said it was fine, saying anything would be meddling.

“Well, okay… as long as you’re fine with it.”

From Hyeonwon’s perspective, it wasn’t to the degree where he thought ‘this is really not okay,’ so he decided not to say more. And though it hadn’t even been a month since he’d gotten to know him, Habin seemed to be the type to clearly state what he disliked, so there probably wasn’t much to worry about.

“More than that, Habin, we agreed to go drinking tomorrow, so you’re coming, right?”

“Again? This week alone feels like it’s already the third time.”

There was the excuse of being freshmen, and with the pretext that everyone had gotten to know each other’s faces so they needed to build friendships, drinking plans were made every single day. Since meeting proposals weren’t coming in, now drinking appointments were starting to pile up.

Honestly, though he liked drinking, he didn’t enjoy attending drinking gatherings with lots of people frequently enough to readily agree.

“The upperclassmen said they all did this too. They said it’s something only freshmen can do. So let’s go together.”

“Mm…”

“Do you have plans?”

“Not that.”

It wasn’t like he’d decided to do something with Dojin today, and he didn’t particularly have any plans. He rested his chin in his hand and pondered. It seemed like he wanted to drink for the first time in a while. But if he got dead drunk again this time, Dojin said he wouldn’t let him leave the house the next day.

“Not tomorrow, but if there’s a drinking gathering the day after tomorrow, I’ll go to that one.”

“The day after? What about tomorrow?”

“Tomorrow doesn’t seem to work.”

If I go home drunk tomorrow, I won’t be able to make it to class on Friday.

Swallowing the rest for the sake of Dojin’s image, Hyeonwon roughly understood on his own, thinking ‘guess he has something going on.’

“Okay, then we agreed to go eat chicken the day after tomorrow. Tell them you’re coming then too. That’s fine, right?”

“Yeah yeah, that’s fine.”

But wait, was there really one?

Habin chuckled, not having expected there would actually be plans when he’d just thrown out the suggestion. My classmates must all be crazy about alcohol.

Status: Completed Type: Released: 1 Free Chapter Everyday
The winter after I finished my college entrance exams, I suddenly regressed three years into the past without any warning. On top of that, it seems I’ve been dropped into some kind of novel—but I have no idea which one. The only silver lining? The high school I’m about to attend isn’t one of those rough vocational or technical schools. I was just breathing a sigh of relief that I wouldn’t have to deal with any delinquents when, even before enrollment, Habin gets tangled up with Kwon Dojin—one of the infamous Four Heavenly Kings. “You don’t know me?” “…Should I?” “Well, this is refreshing. You seriously don’t know Kwon Dojin, the second-ranked?” Dojin finds himself intrigued by Habin, who speaks his mind even though he’s clearly scared. And then, on the very first day of school, the two meet again—in the same classroom. As Habin despairs over having triggered a death flag, Dojin brushes Habin’s bangs aside and whispers softly: “They say even brushing sleeves together creates a connection—” Is this fate at this point? Kwon Dojin, the second-ranked. Can I really survive in a classroom where this guy’s every move causes an uproar? “Liar.” Kwon Dojin leaned forward slightly, his hand pressing down on my desk. I stared at him with trembling eyes as he closed in aggressively, invading my personal space like he owned it. “Habin-ah, I hate lies the most.” What the hell does that have to do with me, you bastard… His large hand cupped my cheek. Then, as his thumb slowly caressed it, my already shaking pupils trembled as if hit by an earthquake. While I was completely flustered, everyone around us was absorbing this new side of Kwon Dojin and sighing in ecstasy. Sure, his face looks sensual right now—I’ll give him that—but—! “You need to answer me, you know?” “Is he insane?”

Well… I should be surprised that people are so nosy about them but I’m really not. Their high school days inoculated me lol

Also good on the author for pointing out how strange their dynamic is from Outsiders’ POVs

It’s not the most green flag relationship ever but they match each other’s freak and they’re considerate so whatever. This is leagues ahead of 99% of BL I’m reading these days
