# Chapter 6
I had no intention of bothering my hyung.
It was just that I wanted to clearly state what I couldn’t compromise on, so I behaved quietly from then on.
I didn’t know which department store we were going to, but when the car arrived, my eyes widened.
It was a place where ordinary people couldn’t easily open their wallets.
Then I remembered that it was a department store under the Seyoung Group.
Hyung got out of the car first without saying anything else to me.
During that time, his executive secretary must have handled things, because several people were waiting in front of the elevator to greet us.
Rather than greeting us, they were greeting Hyung, but I happened to be standing beside him, so I ended up receiving the greetings as well.
“Welcome, Director.”
When we got in, the elevator went straight up to the floor where the clothing department was, without stopping anywhere.
And when the doors opened, people were waiting there too, bowing to greet us.
Thinking this was all unnecessary, I bowed back to them.
It was the natural thing to do when receiving greetings from people older than me, but I could feel Hyung looking at me with disapproval.
At that moment, his executive secretary quickly approached me and whispered.
“Young Master. You shouldn’t do that. You need to maintain your dignity as a member of the owner family.”
“But why is this a matter of dignity…”
“There are customs. Just go along with it. When Young Master does this, it makes many people uncomfortable.”
I couldn’t help but sigh.
I felt that I didn’t like it, but I also felt that I couldn’t change it with my own power.
Thinking it would be better to walk quickly and not make the people there any more uncomfortable, I quickened my pace.
I ended up passing by Hyung, but the executive secretary approached me in alarm and whispered again.
“You shouldn’t walk ahead of the Director.”
I waited for Hyung, and he sighed as if exasperated and walked past me.
Since I hadn’t even asked him to buy me clothes, being treated like I was lacking felt pretty unpleasant.
But it did seem like Hyung was trying to accommodate me.
His pace quickened compared to before, and he gestured to the people around us to step back.
“Everyone return to your posts. There’s no need to stay here.”
Looking at people’s expressions, I could tell this had never happened before.
I reached the store with Hyung.
And looking at the clothes the mannequins were wearing, I couldn’t close my gaping mouth.
I normally didn’t go to department stores often, and when I did buy clothes, I only bought from mid-to-low-price brands.
But what was here looked even more luxurious and sophisticated than high-end brand clothing.
The design and fabric itself captivated my eyes, and I looked at each piece as if entranced.
Then, wondering if I was acting too provincial, I glanced at Hyung, but he was waiting for me beside me.
He didn’t look displeased.
“If there’s something you like, try it on. If you want something, you can buy it all. Noona gave us the card, so let’s max it out.”
Then, as if he was planning to buy clothes with that card too, he looked at clothes alongside me.
It was amusing to see Hyung, who had only looked cold before, trying to get a free ride with the thought of maxing out Noona’s card.
“Um… I don’t know how to choose formal suits well.”
I said this after being shocked by the price tags on each suit, but he didn’t seem to think it was a big deal.
“There’s no special standard for suits. Just pick something first. If it doesn’t look right, I’ll tell you. Even if I don’t say anything, there are plenty of people who will. That’s why we came here.”
“Hyung. I don’t think I like anything here. I don’t need clothes like these.”
Especially at those prices.
Regardless, he was busy looking at other clothes.
“Hyung. I really don’t think I need to be here.”
Thinking he might not hear me, I grabbed the hem of his clothes and spoke, but he shook me off with a creeped-out expression.
“I was so startled.”
He really looked surprised.
He must not have realized I had gotten so close.
I wasn’t feeling very pleasant either, so I kept my mouth shut, when the panicked executive secretary approached me.
“You mustn’t approach the Director too aggressively. The Director absolutely hates when people get too close.”
“But he didn’t seem to hear me…”
“Then you should speak louder. And I’m sure he did hear you.”
The executive secretary seemed worried that something like this might happen again.
Then Hyung stepped in to smooth things over.
He must have felt bad for brushing me off like I was some bug.
“You can pick anything here without thinking too much. They all meet the basics. You don’t need to worry about not knowing what to choose because you like everything. Because of this. You must have seen on the news that the sales volume of smartphones released by Noona’s company recently has been insane? They’ve consistently been in second place in market share, but at this rate, they might even challenge for first place.”
He showed me Noona’s card again, and his excited expression was clearly visible.
It was amazing.
The fact that my cousin noona was the person leading the events featured in the business section news.
Since he put it that way, I decided to relax.
People were waiting beside us to help with shopping, and I chose a few clothes I liked to try on.
They seemed to be trying to figure out who I was as they listened to our conversation.
They needed to know what I was to Hyung in order to gauge how to treat me.
“He’s my cousin. Please help him well even if he comes alone later. Helping him choose clothes won’t be difficult. He has good physique.”
At Hyung’s words, everyone’s expressions changed at once.
Hyung’s cousin.
They knew exactly what that meant.
They helped me shop as comfortably as possible.
And when I came out after changing clothes, exclamations erupted from all around.
“It really suits you. If you match different colored shirts, you’ll feel a different mood. The fit looks so good that it looks much better than when the model wore it. Your legs are long and your proportions are good, making you look taller than your actual height.”
Hearing praise from people who could be called experts in that field, my self-esteem rose a bit.
It could be a sales tactic, but I decided to take it positively.
Meanwhile, Hyung was focused on his own shopping, taking his executive secretary with him.
It would have been uncomfortable if he had stuck by my side, interfering with everything and nagging, so I was able to choose clothes comfortably because he didn’t do that.
Everything the employees helping me recommended was to my liking.
“Since your body shape is so good, I think any style you try will look great.”
Later, they even recommended something with messy stripes and checks, which I had to refuse.
Once I set those boundaries, they seemed to understand my taste and actively helped me shop.
“I think I’m buying too much…”
When I muttered to myself, Hyung approached as if he had heard.
“You can buy everything in this store and it wouldn’t matter, so you don’t need to say that.”
Then he went in to try on the clothes he had chosen.
A moment later, he seemed to like it a lot and said he would wear it out, then he glanced at me.
“Do you want to look around more? We’re not just buying suits, so let’s leave when you’re done. If there’s anything missing, we can come back later.”
“Okay.”
He quickly scanned my shoes and wrists again.
“It would be better if I gave you a few of the watches I have. All the good ones have waiting lists of several months. Do you have a driver’s license?”
“Yes.”
“What car do you drive?”
“I don’t have one.”
“Then I should give you a car too. You’re the Chairman’s grandson; you can’t go around without a car. Let’s go look at shoes first. You also need casual clothes. When people didn’t know who you were, it was understandable, but after they found out, shouldn’t you have paid more attention?”
The skill of pushing me away with a spiteful remark just when I was about to feel touched was truly amazing.
And then he strode ahead as if he was in his own home, taking big, confident steps.
A walk more attractive than a model’s.
That confident, dignified walk was something I wanted to imitate, but no matter how many times I tried, it didn’t become even slightly similar.
I thought the people in the store would be under tremendous stress while we were there.
But looking at their expressions, that didn’t seem to be the case.
As we left the store and said goodbye, the employees bowed deeply with surprised expressions.
Hyung seemed to disapprove, clearing his throat, but I thought that was wrong.
It didn’t feel right to walk around with your head high just because you’re a member of the owner family, especially when you’re not even that old.
Except for those things, Hyung and I got along quite well.
“Hey. Try that on.”
Hyung pointed to a daring scarlet crop top that most people wouldn’t even think of trying.
There are many types of crop tops, but this one was made of a tight-fitting material and was extremely short, so it would only cover the chest and completely expose the abdomen.
“Are you crazy?”
“What?”
“I said you’re crazy. If you want to wear it, you try it on.”
“Who said I’m buying it for you? I’m trying to see how it looks on you before buying one for myself, so stop complaining and try it on. This guy, when I look at you, you pretend to be mindful of me but you really don’t listen at all.”
It wasn’t wrong, but that didn’t mean I was going to back down.
